The room was perfect - everything that was needed. Nice view
from the balcony of the hills. Lovely quiet tree-lined avenue in
the heart of the city. Short walk from the sea front, cafes, park,
and shops. Building is lovely and clean, as was the room itself
with great kitchenette and bathroom. There is a small elevator
although we never used it - instead using the stairs to the top
floor as extra hiking!

Stunning location for a beautiful house, very spacious and
clean. We were looking for somewhere quieter to relax in the
evening after a day exploring and this place was perfect.

Schön eingerichtetes, modernes, sauberes, kompaktes
Ein-Zimmer-Appartment mit Balkon, Küche im Zimmer und Bad in sehr
zentraler Lage in der Altstadt von Funchal. Toll für das Erkunden
der Stadt. Für einen kürzeren Aufenthalt war es völlig geeignet.
Zugang erfolgt flexibel mit einem Pin Code. Im Haus gibt es sogar
einen Fahrstuhl. Durch das Straßenpflaster waren die Autos etwas
lauter bei offenem Fenster zu hören und nachts stritten sich die
Nachbarn im Nebenzimmer. Dadurch, dass man den Kühlschrank neben
dem Bett hat, hört man das Geräusch des Kompressors etwas, wenn er
kühlt. Es wurde erst eine Kaution gefordert. Diese ist aber bei
Airbnb nicht nötig und deshalb musste ich sie dann auch nicht
zahlen.

Due to it's location in the heart of Funchal, it's normal to have cars passing near the apartments and this is expected. It's also good to know about the noise from the fridge's compressor, and we appreciate your understanding regarding the deposit, given Airbnb's policies. We're glad that overall the apartment was suitable for your shorter stay and allowed you to explore the city. The apartment was very comfortable and just as described. We
were not lacking anything as it was fully equipped - better than we
could have hoped for. Everything for cooking, cleaning up, bathroom
amenities, and just enough towels. The location could not have been
more central, yet there was no noise at night, and a cute cafe
downstairs. The view was absolutely stunning from the balcony,
being able to see the higher parts of Madeira, which was
exceptional at night. You can see a bit of the sea as well on the
other side. We had no issues with the neighbours and the walls
either; everything felt well-isolated. Linda was responsive and
easy to get ahold of if needed. We felt more than well taken care
of. In the future, when we return to Madeira, if it is Funchal, we
wouldn't need to think twice about where to stay and cannot
recommend this place enough.

What an amazing stay we had at Art Deco Apartments! The
building is stunning and the apartment was extremely clean, modern
and offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would
recommend enjoying a coffee from the small shop next door.
Unfortunately we only got to spend two of the four nights we had
booked here as our flight was diverted to Gran Canaria due to
adverse weather so we would love to come back to these apartments
and explore Funchal more. Can't wait to stay again and thank you to
Our Madeira for the most wonderful stay!

everything and still the feeling of a quiet appartement. We booked
for 3 nights and stayed a night extra because we liked it so much
