Très belle maison dans les hauteurs avec une vue panoramique sur la vallée et la mer. Nous avons passé une semaine dans la maison et celle-ci était très bien équipée ce qui permet de profiter pleinement du séjour.

Wir waren für eine knappe Woche Gast in Maria's Ferienhaus. Es war unsere schönste Unterkunft auf Madeira. Mitten in "Gemüsegärten" gelegen mit tollem Blick auf gegenüberliegende grüne Terrassen (Fajã) und das Meer. Das Haus ist komplett eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sehr praktisch war es eine Waschmaschine zu haben. Die traditionelle Feuerstelle im Haus war super, wir haben unsere eigenen Espetadas gemacht und Fisch gegrillt. In der Nachmittagssonne auf der Terrasse bei einem Gläschen Wein zu sitzen war Erholung pur. Poncha gab es to go in der Bar unterhalb. Der Weg mit dem Auto zum Haus war sehr abenteuerlich, nachdem wir einmal beim Hochfahren stecken geblieben sind und es nur mit Mühe geschafft haben, haben wir es vorgezogen oben zu parken, was aber auch kein Problem war. Wenn wir nochmal nach Madeira kommen, werden wir ganz sicher hier wieder Station machen.

The house and the place are just perfect. In the house is everything what you need and it's very cozy. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere of the village and calmness of the place is amazing.

Un endroit au calme, une vue incroyable et imprenable, tout est là pour se ressourcer ! Un habitant m a chanté en français " Il est où le bonheur il est où !" Et bien il est là !

Great Place to relax! We (Family of 4) enjoyed our time in the cosy house a lot.

Wir waren 14 Tage in diesem schönem Haus. Es liegt ideal , um von dort aus Wanderungen im wunderschönen Norden der Insel zu machen. Leider waren wir im Februar da wo ziemlich spät die Sonne ins Tal kommt und dadurch das Haus lange im Schatten liegt. Auch das Wetter spielte öfter verrückt. Um so mehr haben wir uns über den Kamin am Abend gefreut. Die Lage ist toll, auch wenn man mit dem Auto nicht ganz ans Haus kommt (zumindest haben wir es uns nicht getraut)! Vllt. mit einem ganz kleinen Auto?? Man hat seine Ruhe, ist für sich und genießt einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf das Meer und die Berge. Man kann auch zu Fuß zum kleinen Minimercado oder zu einer Wanderung nach Porto Moniz oder hoch in die Berge starten. Im Haus ist alles so wie im Internet beschrieben. Wir können es mit ruhigem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.

The house is in a very peaceful setting, with a wonderful view to the sea. T we could need was provided and we really enjoyed our time in such a beautiful place.

Charming house with beautiful view. Unique location among small farms. Small shop and cafe just below the house. It is better to park the car either above or below the house and walk the last bit. actually driving to the house is very steep at the end. we enjoyed ourselves very much.

We really enjoyed our stay there. The place is so cozy, private and the nature around is breathtaking. Just prepare to drive up quite a steep roads.

Nach einer herzlichen Begrüßung freuten wir uns über ein kleines Willkommenspaket im Haus. Den Raum mit BBQ Grill und Glasfront Richtung Berge, haben wir schnell eingeweiht und lieb gewonnen. Auch den Kachelofen im Haus haben wir genutzt - sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre :) Der Blick von Balkon ist traumhaft - Berge und Meer. Die Lage ist absolut ruhig (von ein paar Fröschen, die auch nachts mal hörbar quaken, abgesehen). Für die Anreise ist ein Auto erforderlich, die letzten Meter geht es dann zu Fuß. Ein kleiner Supermarkt befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe. Sehr praktisch :) Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

We spent a week at Casa De Campo and very much enjoyed it. The location was amazing and we spent many hours on the veranda watching the sunset each evening. Close to Porto Moniz and easy drive to the trail head of many beautiful walks. Maria was super helpful and communicative. All in all couldnt' recommend it more!

Case de Campo is a need house in a rustic style that is well equipped and beautifully situated in a green valley. We had a great time there and were especially happy (when arriving late) to find some food for breakfast prepared for us.

Ein sehr idyllisches Haus auf zwei Etagen für Menschen, die gerne ihrer Ruhe genießen. Wer sehr gut Auto fahren kann, kann auch im kleinen gepflasterten Innenhof parken. Wir haben einige Meter entfernt geparkt und sind zu Fuß zum Haus gegangen. Im Haus gibt es zwei Schlafzimmer - eins sogar mit einer großen Terrasse und Meerblick. Ein Kamin und ein zusätzlicher Radiator sorgt für gemütliche Wärme am Abend. Neben der normalen Küche gibt es auch eine zweite Küche zum Grillen. Dort befindet sich ein weiterer großer Esstisch für 6 bis 8 Personen. Das Duschbad ist klein, aber völlig ausreichend. Gegenüber des Hauses befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt. In der Ortsmitte, die einige Höhenmeter oberhalb des Hauses liegt, befindet sich ein einheimisches Café. In diesem Ortskern wird auch manchmal Obst und Gemüse angeliefert von einem mobilen Händler. Ohne Auto ist der Aufenthalt an diesem verlassenen Ort recht mühsam. Aber man könnte sich auch mit dem Bus fortbewegen, was wir manchmal gemacht haben. Insgesamt ein absoluter Volltreffer für uns. Individuell und abseits der Touristenpfade.

Our stay in Casa de Camp was absolutely perfect! House is cozy, perfect clean and has everything what we needed. Contact with host was quick. Maria prepared for our arrival some food so after long trip we could eat excelent breakfest with breathtaking view for the ocean. The place is absolutely quiet so we could really escape from everything. Thank you!

It was very nice!! It's really good to have bread and little pasteries there when you get there hungry thank you for that!!

It was just great and wonderful...

Das Haus bietet eine wundervolle Lage, großzügige Räume, eine vollständige Ausstattung. Die Terrasse allein ist schon ein Argument zur Buchung. Wir haben nichts vermisst und die Ruhe genossen. Die Anfahrt der letzten 100m spart man sich am besten. Die Gastgeber sind mit einem Gepäckshuttle behilflich. Wir hätten gern auch 6 von 5 Sternen vergeben. Vielen Dank.

This villa was very comfortable with all modern conveniences. It was a bit on the chilly side in the evenings, but with a load of firewood supplied by our generous hostess, the wood burning stove made it cosy. It is a fantastic location for walking, but bears the brunt of the winter weather with the cloud being trapped by the hilltops. Still this did not dampen our spirits and we made the most of the various levada walks, as well as a few of our own design. This villa would definitely be ideal in summer as it would be a cool oasis.

Our Madeira is a unique space on the beautiful north coast of Madeira.. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and had everything we needed in this beautiful and cosy space.. two things that are worth noting is the limited amount of hot water and the difficult access to the place.. if you don't have a 4X4 I would discourage you to take your rental car all the way down to the house.. it is narrow and very steep/mossy.. These were minor inconveniences of what is otherwise a wonderful place but it is still worth knowing.. Thank you otherwise for the great communication and the nice little touches such as the welcome basket or the fireplace.

Fantastic cottage tucked away near Porto Moniz with a breathtaking ocean view. Very clean and spacious for 4 people. We loved waking up each morning and drinking coffee on the balcony. Beware that the place does not include an actual oven, but there is a bbq grill.

Wir haben unsere Woche in Porto Moniz sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt wunderbar ruhig und mit schönem Blick. Leider auf der "falschen" Talseite, so dass wir wenig Sonne abbekommen haben und die Terasse nicht nutzen konnten. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet, alles ist sehr gemütlich und es fehlt an nichts. Die Verwalterin ist äußerst nett und hilfsbereit und bei der Ankunft stand eine Grundversorgung mit Brot, Butter, Käse, Marmelade, Obst bereit. Allerdings ist die Zufahrt zu dem Domizil doch extrem steil und eng und da wäre es fair, wenn es darauf einen Hinweis in der Beschreibung gäbe. Die Verwalterin transportiert das Gepäck gerne bei der An- und Abreise.

Lovely location

Das sehr geschmackvoll renovierte Häuschen liegt an einem steilen Westhang und hat einen wunderbaren Blick von der Terrasse aufs Meer hinaus. Die unmittelbare Umgebung ist ländlich, sehr ruhig und idyllisch, wenige Kilometer östlich von Porto Moniz. Ausstattung und Ambiente haben uns sehr gut gefallen, alles da, was man braucht, sehr gemütlich und komfortabel eingerichtet. Den Kaminofen haben wir im November gut nutzen können, da es dann an der Nordküste doch oft wolkig, regnerisch und kühl war. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit, herzlich und gastfreundlich. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es wegen der etwas funzeligen Beleuchtung im Haus (spielt nur im Winterhalbjahr eine Rolle), und vor allem wegen der schlechten Erreichbarkeit: es gibt zwar einen Parkplatz direkt am Haus, dieser ist allerdings nur über einen extrem holprigen, sehr engen und sehr steilen Pflasterweg erreichbar. Der Adrenalinschub jedes Mal bei der An- und Abfahrt war uns die Sache nicht wert, deshalb haben wir regelmäßig unterhalb an der Straße geparkt und sind durch einen steilen Treppenweg durch die Terrassengärten zu Fuß zum Haus gelangt.

The house is the perfect place to relax. Although the house is located in a small village the next town Porto Moniz is only 5 minutes away by car. The host was so friendly to meet us in the center of Porto Moniz and guide us to the house. So there was no need to search the house. I can highly recommend this place.

Good equipment, little touches of attention ( le basket with fresh bread, some cheese, fruits etc )and superb communication. Highly recommended!!!

Cette maison est très jolie, bien équipée, mais nous sommes tombés à la mauvaise saison... Beaucoup de pluie, assez froid, n'avons pas pu profiter de l'extérieur. Eb^n plus, une grande humidité et assez froid à l'intérieur, avec trop peu de bois pour se chauffer et des duvets insuffisants... A éviter en ças d'absence de soleil !

Casa de Campo is in a great location and superbly equipped for a self-catering stay with high quality appliances, including 2 fridges. It feels rural, yet you can hear the waves breaking when you are lying in bed - about 20 minutes downhill walk away! Maria met us in Porto Moniz and we followed her in our car to the property, parking close by while Maria transferred our luggage in her car - the final lane to the property is very steep and we chose not to drive it! Very thoughtful touches on our arrival - milk, cake, flowers, butter and cheese - despite the nearest shop being only 5 minutes walk away (you can see it from the property). On our departure, Maria arrived promptly and transferred our luggage again. All very straightforward and a great base for exploring the stunning scenery of Madeira.

Wir haben uns im Haus von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt: es ist liebevoll eingerichtet, besitzt zwei wundervolle Terrassen und liegt einsam auf einer kleinen Anhöhe mit Blick auf das Meer und den kleinen Dorfladen. Hautnah kann man die Bewässerungstechnik Madeiras erleben und beobachten, wie die älteren Einwohner täglich ihre Gärten pflegen. Besonderes Highlight für uns waren die in Porto Moniz gelegenen Meeresbecken - mit dem Auto in ein paar Minuten zum Baden auf Madeira - wo gibt es das sonst noch auf der Insel? Einige Levada - Wanderungen beginnen hier im Norden, alle anderen sind gut erreichbar. Die Vermieterin Maria ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit - sie hat uns und unser Gepäck bis vor die Haustür gebracht. Mit unserem kleinen Mietwagen hätten wir das wegen der steilen und steinigen Anfahrt zum Haus nicht geschafft. Für alle Urlauber, die ein ursprüngliches Madeira kennen lernen wollen und wirklich Ruhe brauchen ist dies die perfekte Wahl. Danke, Maria, dass wir diese Oase zwei Wochen lang genießen durften.

We spent wonderful week in Madeira. Casa do campo is well equipped, everything is new and modern. You definitely need a car, located is in a remote rural mountain area. Very pleasant and relaxing with beautiful view. Recommend
