Lovely stay at the property, hosts are very friendly and welcoming and lovely to chat to. Pool area is stunning and views from mezzanine terrace are great! Relatively high up at roughly 500m above sea level so occasionally you are in the clouds, but overall fantastic property, superb location and amazing hosts.

Das "old cottage" liegt auf einem wunderschönen und liebevoll gepflegten Grundstück mit Blick über den Atlantik. Das kleine charmante und ruhige Dorf Prazeres lädt zum erkunden ein. Die Ferienwohnung war sehr sauber, die Inhaber sehr gute und sympathische Gastgeber. Wir haben uns während unseres einwöchigen Aufenthalts pudelwohl gefühlt. Das Bett ist sehr gemütlich, super Matratze! Insgesamt sind wir froh dieses Schmuckstück entdeckt zu haben!

A perfect base for a relaxing and adventurous time-out! Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Zeit hier! Im Old Cottage kann man morgens die traumhafte Aussicht auf den Atlantik genießen, so denn das Wetter mitspielt. Im Haus ist alles da, was man benötigen kann, vom Föhn über Wäscheständer, schnelles Internet und gut ausgestatteter Küche bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig, ein paar Meter weiter unten liegen der gut gepflegte Pool mit Dusche und ein kleiner Entspannungsbereich. Ab und zu lassen sich die Katzen blicken, aber auch so gibt es eine Vielfalt an Vögeln, Echsen und Insekten, die auf der Insel und dem Gelände unterwegs sind. Wer in Ruhe abschalten möchte, einen guten Startpunkt für viele Abenteuer sucht und sehr freundliche Hosts kennenlernen möchte, ist hier absolut richtig! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

They were so kind, welcoming and honest people. We did all this in one day drive From Quinta Inácia; * Farol da ponta do Pargo ( lighthouse and mind blowing view) then make your way to * Teleférico das Achadas da Cruz( take cable car down to historical abandoned farm house. But be respectful, some local still live down there. * Miradouro do Ponta da Ladeira( mind blowing how you can see the abandoned historical farm house from up here.) * Porto moniz natural pool( don't forget to take beach towels and bathing suits) * Miradouro da RIBEIRA da Janela( enjoy epic view while swinging.) That's probably enough for a one day activities. Save the other for another day. * Levada Prazeres Hike * Picnic At Fanal( Fanal forestry station, Ecological park ) hugs some trees ! Be nice to Daniel and Silvério, they are precious people. ����

This is a great place, in the most beautiful location, and the hosts were thoughtful with recommendations. The space was clean and amazing as advertised.

A really wonderful place to stay with fantastic hosts who cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and at home. We would unreservedly recommend this accommodation. It is clean and has all the amenities you will need, you do not even need to pack beach towels as these are provided. A communal washing machine and individual clothes dryer also means you can get away without hold luggage if you want to travel light. The pool and view is beautiful and although shared you will often find it empty. There are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket in walking distance but a car is a must if you want to see the island.

One of our best Air B&Bs we ever had. Great view & service (complementary change of towels every 3,days). Impressive garden was in better shape than botanical garden Funchal. Extremly friendly and helpful hosts Daniel and Silverio.

Our stay in the cottage was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Daniel and Silverio are hosts that other Airbnb hosts should aspire to be. We arrived late due to airline issues and Daniel welcomed us warmly and got us settled in that evening. Everything was meticulously cared for from the interior of the cottage, to the gardens and landscaping and the pool area as well. We both agreed that the view from the pool is one of the greatest views either of us had ever seen. We are already planning another visit, and our only hesitancy in sharing how great this Airbnb was, is sharing this gem with the world instead of keeping it our secret!

First of all Silverio and Daniel are really great hosts and created a really beautiful, peaceful little place. we stayed in the old cottage, which has a breathtaking view over the ocean. the cottage itself is really nice and cozy and has everything that you need. the bed is super comfortable which is always a big plus. i would recommend a car when coming here (but also for Madeira in general), because it is much easier to get around. we definetly plan ob coming back.

The flat/house is very cozy. The bed upstairs is perfect to enjoy the nice landscape. The pool with a view on the ocean is perfect to watch beautiful sunsets. Both contact persons are very helpful with many tips to do on the island. Check in and check out was very easy.

We had a fantastic 3 days staying in The Old Cottage. The sea view from the bedroom's balcony is just perfect to wake up to. Everything was great about this stay. Silvario and Daniel greeted us like friends. They were on hand should we have needed anything but they really had thought of everything in advance to make the stay was such a pleasure. The peace and tranquility of the village is just what's needed to relax and unwind. Our hosts had provided all we could ask for to do just that from the outside patio furniture for outdoor breakfasts to the relaxing chairs on the upper balcony for watching the lovely sunsets. The cottage was exceptionally clean, the bed very comfortable with quality linens and a great waterfall shower. We highly recommend a stay here and hope to stay again ourselves one day too. It's also worth mentioning that there are some lovely restaurants in the village too. We liked Chicos in particular. There is also a small but well stocked supermarket within approx 10 minutes walking distance or a couple of minutes drive.

We had a wonderful time at this cute place in Prazeres. The apartment was very nice and had breathtaking views of the ocean. The parking spot just outside was very convenient and the location ideal for day trips across the island. A supermarket with fresh bread and various and restaurants are within short distance. We'd definitely recommend staying at this place.

We absolutely loved the attention to detail in the cottage, everything had been thought of, from small home comforts to kitchen equipment. The views were amazing both from the pool and the cottage. We were looked after from the point of arrival up until we departed. The owner could not have been any more helpful, arranging taxi's, providing bbq equipment, recommending restaurants as well as going above and beyond to take us to Funchal to hire a car. We had a fabulous time and would recommend to anyone that wants a tranquil break with exceptional views, the sunset was to die for.

Wow- das war Erholung PUR! Wir haben uns rundum pudelwohl gefühlt. Eine traumhafte Lage, ein wunderschönes kleines Chalet, super süss eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Beide Vermieter waren zu jeder Zeit erreichbar, standen mit Antworten zu unsere Fragen parat und auch zufällige Gespräche waren super angenehm und informativ. Unsere 3 Kids haben es vollendest genossen und auch mein Mann und ich kamen durch den unübertrefflichen Blick auf s weite Meer auf unsere Kosten und unsere Erholung. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. A very unique and very beautiful AirBnB experience: breathtaking views over the infinity pool and the sea from the lounge area. Very nice and peaceful small town which is a great start for hiking tours around the island and has supermarkets and restaurant close by. Our cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and we enjoyed breakfasts in our garden. Daniel and Silvério were great hosts and were always available for questions. A beautiful cottage fully refurbished and modernised. Well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the balcony from the bedroom where the views of the setting sun were gorgeous. Our favourite place though was beside the pool which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves most of the time. It's a pleasant 15 minute uphill walk to the village of Prazeres. The Old Cottage is in a great position to explore the west of the island and is an easy drive from the airport in Funchal. Highly recommended!

Meine Schwester und ich haben uns für die Unterkunft entschieden, da sie auf den Bildern einfach toll aussieht und wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden! In den Betten hat man traumhaft gut geschlafen und was gibt es schöneres mit einem Blick aufs Meer aufzuwachen? Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb von dem Trubel, man hat wirklich seine Ruhe. Ein Auto ist empfehlenswert, das wichtigste wie Restaurants oder Supermärkte hat es aber im Ort. Bei Fragen stehen Daniel und Silverio, zwei super freundliche Hausbesitzer aber immer zur Verfügung. Wenn man an dem wunderschönen, gepflegten Pool liegt und einen freien Blick aufs weite Meer hat fühlt man sich wie im Paradies.

Natureza, calma, descanso

We had a lovely stay at Quinta Inacia and would absolutely like to come back. The accommodation is placed on a quiet hillside in Calheta which offers you beautiful views over the Atlantic ocean. From "The Old Cottage" you can enjoy this view right out of your bed by just opening the window blinds in the morning! The kitchen provided everything we needed for our stay and a local supermarket is within walking distance (around 10 minutes). If you are looking for a hike there are at least two to three beautiful walks close to the accommodation and if you want to relax instead you can just walk down to the pool area and take a day off in the sun. :-) Finally, Silverio is an awesome host and we would have loved to meet Daniel as well. Besides the special situation in March 2020 he provided us with everything we needed. We could not have been more comfortable or feel more safe during this than to be in Silverio's and Daniel's accommodation. Thank you for going above and beyond our expectations and thank you for making our stay memorable.

Wir hatten für 10 Tage das old Cottage gemietet. Das Haus ist wunderschön und vom Style durchdacht und modern. Ausstattung = sehr gut. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Haus liegt perfekt ruhig und man kann wunderbar schlafen. Der Blick vom Haus und Pool ist unbezahlbar. Die Gastgeber waren immer zur Stelle, wir konnten uns immer an sie wenden. Danke noch einmal für die Restaurant-Tips! So wurde unser Aufenthalt auf Madeira zu einem perfekter Urlaub!

We spent 9 relaxing nights at the Quinta Inacia/ Old Cottage and enjoyed every moment. The village of Prazeres offers some nice cafés/ restaurants and still has a nice "untouristy" feeling. What made our stay so special? The friendly welcome & great hospitality by Daniel & Sylverio including the delicious cake, the ocean views from the pool, the bbq, the nicely equipped old farm house, the quietness of the place, the perfect location for exploring/ hiking the (south) western part of Madeira etc. Thanks Daniel & Sylverio and all the best to you!

10 / 10! We were welcomed so friendly (even at 10 pm). The both hosts are very open, attentive and interested. But they also have a good sense for free space. The cottage is just wonderful! It was very clean, well appointed and has a super lovely view! The pool, the garden, etc. were very neat and were just nice places to feel comfortable. We enjoyed our stay a lot and if we come back to Madeira we'd like to stay at Silverio and Daniel's place again!

Als überzeugte Madeira-Urlauber hat es uns (meine Freundin und mich) im September für zwei Wochen auf diese wunderschöne Insel verschlagen. Diesmal haben wir uns ein Ferienhaus in Prazeres ausgesucht, die "Old Cottage" in Quinta Inacia. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine kleine Appartementanlage mit insgesamt drei Appartements und der "Old Cottage", einem kleinen alleinstehenden Haus ein paar Meter oberhalb der drei Appartements. Die Fahrtzeit vom Flughafen beträgt rund eine Stunde. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von den beiden Gastgebern empfangen und uns wurde das Ferienhaus und die ganze Anlage im Detail gezeigt und alles Wissenswerte erklärt. Leider sprechen wir nur ein paar Sätze Portugiesisch aber die Verständigung in englischer Sprache war perfekt. Die beiden Gastgeber haben die ganzen zwei Wochen durch ihre ausgesprochene Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft einen bleibenden Eindruck bei uns hinterlassen. Die Cottage wurde erst im Mai 2019 fertig gestellt und daher war alles noch brandneu. Im unteren Bereich befindet sich eine gut ausgestattete Küche (Besteck und Geschirr ist für vier Personen vorhanden) und ein Wohnzimmer mit einem bequemen Sofa und zwei Sesseln. Es gibt einen Fernseher und Internet, aber das haben wir in den zwei Wochen unseres Aufenthaltes nicht genutzt, Das Badezimmer ist klein aber hat eine tolle Walk-in Dusche. Im oberen Bereich (eine Art Loggia) gibt es ein wunderbares und bequemes Bett und einen kleinen Balkon mit Sitzgelegenheiten und einen schönen Blick auf das Meer und abends wundervolle Sonnenuntergänge. Vor dem Haus gibt es eine Terrasse ebenfalls mit Sitzgelegenheit (Tisch und zwei Stühle) und einen Grill. Handtücher und Bettwäsche werden gestellt und je nach Wunsch alle 3-4 Tage ausgetauscht. Auf der Anlage gibt es einen kleinen aber sehr schön angelegten Pool mit bequemen Liegen, Sonnenschirmen, Sitzgelegenheiten und Duschen. Die Wassertemperatur war stets angenehme 24-26 Grad. Wir sind fast jeden Abend schwimmen gegangen und haben den Pool fast immer für uns alleine gehabt. Es gibt die Möglichkeit, eine Waschmaschine zu nutzen. Hierfür muss man nur den beiden Gastgebern mit ein wenig zeitlichem Vorlauf Bescheid geben. Für einen ausgedehnten Wanderurlaub ist das Cottage ideal gelegen. Fünf Minuten von der Quinta aus (rechts rum) ist der schöne aber etwas anstrengende Wanderweg nach Jardim Do Mar erreichbar. Nach 15 Minuten Fußweg in die andere Richtung (links rum) kann darüber hinaus ein zweiter Wanderweg nach Paul do Mar erreicht werden. Beide Wanderungen haben rund 550 Höhenmeter. Runter kommt man problemlos (bei Nässe etwas rutschig), rauf ist schon anstrengender aber insgesamt machbar. Und wenn die Kraft / Lust nicht mehr ausreicht oder zu viele Bierchen an der Promenade getrunken wurden bringt einen ein Taxi für kleines Geld wieder zum Ausgangsort zurück. Oberhalb von Prazeres liegt die Levada Nova, die man in beiden Richtungen stundenlang bewandern kann. Mit dem Mietwagen kann man darüber hinaus im Radius von ca. 1 Stunde so ziemlich alle Regionen von Madeira erreichen, es gibt einen dedizierten Parkplatz vor dem Haus (für die Cottage) resp. drei dedizierte Parkplätze auf der Anlage (für die Appartements). Prazeres hat einen kleinen Supermarkt, in dem man alles Wesentliche bekommt (20 Minuten Fußweg vom Hotel, mit dem Auto vielleicht fünf Minuten). Für den großen Einkauf empfiehlt es sich aber, nach Calheta zu fahren. Dort gibt es unten an der Promenade einen großen Supermarkt mit einem prima Sortiment. Darüber hinaus gibt es in Prazeres mindestens fünf Restaurants. Diese sind mit dem Auto ebenfalls in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, zu Fuß zwischen 10 Minuten und 30 Minuten. Wenn man keine Lust hat, abends selber zu kochen, hat man somit genug Gelegenheiten und kann teilweise sehr günstig essen. Durch die sehr ländliche Lage war die Unterkunft herrlich ruhig, von der unterhalb der Anlage verlaufenen Straße hört man überhaupt nichts und die Straße an der Quinta vorbei ist sehr wenig befahren. Ab und zu ist etwas Hundegebell zu hören aber das gehört auf Madeira einfach dazu. Wir haben wunderbar und jede Nacht mit offenen Balkontüren geschlafen. What a wonderful stay! The hosts were lovely and the position just magical. The additional extra touches were really appreciated. We enjoyed the extra space in the cottage, which has a delightful mezzanine/loft bedroom with lovely views and a sundowner balcony! Enjoyed walking the stepped path down to Paul do Mar for great food and drinks and took a taxi back!

We had a lovely stay at this place. The cottage had a lot of space and all the facilities we needed. The decoration was beautiful and well thought. Our balcony and also the pool area had a great ocean view. Silverio and Daniel were great hosts, so polite and very nice people! The cottage was located near a small peaceful village, it was nice and quiet during the night. We had our own little yard and the pool area was shared with only three other flats, so we had it to ourselves for the most of the time. We can strongly recommend this place for people who value a beautiful clean house, a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and friendly supernice hosts!

The Quinta Inacia is incredible place. The scenery was spectacular. Pool was wonderful. Old Cottage was well equipped. We enjoy every moment and will recommend it to everyone.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad in dit schattige huisje. Heel mooi ingericht en een prachtig uitzicht. Silvério en Daniel zijn erg vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. De omgeving is prachtig en supermarkt en restaurants zijn op loopafstand. Tip: ga voor een goed kopje koffie naar het XS Cafe

This beautiful house is only recommended. It is just as super clean and tastefully decorated as in the pictures. The pool and the landscape are just a dream. All that is completed with two really very nice hosts. Daniel and Silverio welcomed us warmly and were always on hand with help and advice after arrival. We had a lot of fun and will definitely not have been in the beautiful old cottage for the last time. And next time we invite Daniel and Silverio for a delicious rosé. Thank you one more time for all, it was a pleasure for us to meet both of you Daniel & Mareike

Wir verbrachten im Mai 2019 eine wunderschöne Woche in Quinta Inacia. Das alte Häuschen ist aufwendig restauriert und sehr hübsch eingerichtet mit allem, was man so braucht. Wir werden sicher wieder kommen ���� Eva und Markus

Wir haben eine tolle Woche im wunderschönen Cottage verbracht. Daniel und Silverio sind äußerst nette und jederzeit hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Tips zur Erkundung der Umgebung sowie für Restaurant- und Cafebesuche waren klasse! Wir haben uns sogleich sehr heimisch gefühlt. Die Lage des Cottage war für uns perfekt. Man hat einen phantastischen Blick auf den Atlantik. Prazeres ist ein netter kleiner Ort mit einheimischem Flair und nicht touristisch überlaufen. Zur Inselerkundung ist ein Mietwagen sinnvoll. Es gibt viele tolle Wandermöglichkeiten und Ausflugsziele. "Sahnehäubchen" ist der Pool, wunderbar zum Relaxen und Verfolgen der Sonnenuntergänge! Herzlichen Dank nochmals für die schöne Zeit bei euch!

We have stayed at the old cottage, run by Daniel and Silverio, for about a week. We would definitely recommend staying at the old cottage. The cottage itself is beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. It is equipped with everything you would need, with most importantly a comfortable bed. The cottage is located in the upper part of the property, with amazing ocean views from the top terrace. The rest of the property contains three more studio's, the infinity swimming pool and the owners home. The cottage is easy to reach and has it's own parking spot available. It's a perfect place to unwind from a busy life, located in the outskirts of a small village. It's truly quiet and peaceful, with amazing sunsets over the ocean and offers privacy. The village itself contains a few nice restaurants and is a good spot to explore the whole island. Daniel and Silverio gave us a very warm welcome, provided us with inside tips and tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Daniel and Silverio for sharing this amazing spot with us, we will be returning to explore more of Madeira.

We really enjoyed our stay at Quinta Inacia! Daniel and Silvero are the perfect hosts - friendly and kind; they shared local information and made our stay seamless. We stayed in both the cottage and studio. Both were perfectly cleaned, equipped, and very comfortable. The views are stunning and the location is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed snuggles from the 3 sweet cats that live on the property. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to return again ourselves!

Amazing home away from home with an amazing view. The place is clean and well equipped. The hosts are very hospitable and are there whenever you need them but otherwise leave you to yourself (other than the occasional chat, checking if everything is fine and share nice local tips). Don't question if you're going to book, just book! :)

A lovely, newly-renovated, peaceful, well-equipped house with a stunning view. More than enough space for two people. The hosts were welcoming and gave us plenty of great recommendations! Would love to come back.

We spent a wonderful week at Quinta Inacia's new "old house". It is very clean, stylishly furnished, offers great views, comfy beds and quiet nights - it was perfect for us! Nearly every evening we enjoyed the spectacular sunset from the cosy chill area at the pool. Quinta Inacia is the perfect place to relax and to explore Madeira. Silverio and Daniel are awesome hosts - very friendly and welcoming. They gave us a lot of recommendations regarding restaurants and hiking trails in and around Prazeres. A small supermarket, a bakery and some restaurants are in walking distance, but to explore the island we would recommend a rental car. Daniel and Silverio, thank you so much for everything! Next time we'll drink the champagne together with you at the pool!

What a wonderful experience! Silverio and Daniel know how to make their guests feel welcome. The Old Cottage has an unrivaled view of the sunsets and offers all that a couple or small family may need to visit the real Madeira. We enjoyed exploring the entire island from The Old Cottage and Silverio and Daniel were wonderful helps at every moment. The local markets and restaurants are very accessible allowing one to cook back at the cottage, picnic or enjoy a night out in Prazeres. We highly recommend a bica and pastel de nata from the cafe at the Meu Super!!! We cannot wait to return and spend another glorious week here. Do not hesitate to book- you will be glad you did!
