A perfect hidden paradise, Cris's Home is a very welcoming holiday villa in Madeira, great for families and couples alike.

The large covered veranda, mature garden, solarium wih swimming pool and hot tub are perfect for spending the day or evening and complement the spacious living room and bar and separate open plan kitchen and dining. Refurbished and extended from an old farmers cottage, it still retains many of the character features. The whole front is occupied by a large covered veranda with built-in Madeira barbecue and rustic outdoor dining table and sitting area, perfect for lounging with a book or a drink in the balmy evenings.

The main door opens to the spacious dining room, great for meals or table games, and fully equipped modern kitchen. This leads to the main family bathroom and also to the large sitting room and bar with flat-screen TV with PlayStation, a separate area with table games and a bar with a selection of spirits which may be used by guests free of charge.

Upstairs are the three bedrooms, the first with double bed, the second with a single bed and the third with two queen sized beds complemented by the upstairs shower room.

Outside there is a beautiful mature garden with lawn, shrubs and trees and a badminton/volleyball net. The good-sized rectangular swimming pool (optionally heated) is set in the garden surrounded by a solarium, hot tub, sun-beds and a further table and chairs under a fixed straw shade.


The owner, Cris, places great emphasis on his guests' satisfaction. His home is equipped with everything guests may wish for in a holiday villa, with a variety of small touches, such as personalised linen. The bar is stocked with a variety of spirits and a draft beer machine, free of use for guests. Cris owns and operates three of the highest classified restaurants in Funchal, and so understands the importance of customer satisfaction.

The nearest facilities are in the village of Prazeres, just over 1Km away. The nearest supermarket is 1,5Km away, by the roundabout that provides access to the expressway. Prazeres offers a small selection of country restaurants and cafés.
The tranquil resort of Prazeres has become ever more popular with visitors as is combines warm climate and easy access to the sea (8 Km away) with the tranquillity and beauty of the Madeira countryside. It is a perfect place for walking in Madeira, offering a variety of country walks, and with the famous Levada Nova passing just above the village.

Swimming pool heating:
Heating is optional and costs 140,00€ per week for 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival.
A supplement of 30,00€ per week applies for each additional degree up to a maximum of 26ºC
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

The advertised prices are based on a 2-person and supplements apply should anyone join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable 30% deposit or the full amount if the reservation is made within 8 weeks prior to arrival. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
The minimum stay is 07 nights.
