Casa da Tia is located in a quiet residential area of Machico, within easy walking distance of all facilities.
It is a short 300m to the centre of Machico, where you will find a good selection of cafés, restaurants, a larger branded supermarket, banks and a chemist, and only 650m to the man-made golden sandy beach, the other side of which is the marina (offering boat trips and dolphin watching).

Funchal is an easy 30-minutes' drive and the airport under 10 minutes along the motorway.

Machico is also a great base for walking in Madeira, either along levadas or hiking, with easy access to the local expressway, the mountains and the north coast. 

Cleaning
The property is prepared for your arrival. For stays of longer than 7 nights, a change of linen and towels, and light mid-stay cleaning of bathrooms is provided on a day and time to be advised at check-in.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a 30% deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks. The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required by credit card prior to check-in.

The payment of a Tourist Tax has been implemented across all of Madeira and Porto Santo by the local Municipalities. This applies to all visitors to Madeira aged 13 or over, and costs 2€ per person per day up to a maximum of 14€ per person. Your accommodation is legally responsible for collecting these amounts and paying them on your behalf to the applicable municipality. The Municipality Tourist Tax will be collected via credit card on the online check-in procedure.

Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival and once you have paid your balance. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.

Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made, and an additional cost will apply. Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other guests either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and of your departure for check-out.

Pool maintenance will take place during your stay. This is scheduled for a specific day of the week which will be advised to you. Garden maintenance is carried out according to the conditions of the garden. Holiday dates (of which there are 13 in Madeira) will affect these schedules.
