Description

One of the few exclusive villas in Madeira set overlooking the seashore and with direct access to the sea, On-the-Sea not only benefits from the beautiful sea sounds and breezes but is also away from any traffic and set below the access street. Arranged over two floors, this 3-bedroom air-conditioned zen villa is quirkily furnished and features a large heated swimming pool and an annexe in its grounds that can be used independently. Within easy walking distance are all main facilities, such as cafés, restaurants as well as a mini market and pharmacy. A set of stairs leads from the carport to rear main door which opens to a small distribution hall. Steps lead to the floor above where you can find the Master bedroom with ensuite, dressing area and private balcony and a further double bedroom with shower room. On the floor below we find a spacious open plan lounge and dining room, complemented by a fully equipped open kitchen and separate laundry, Large doors lead from the living area to the large front terrace with built-in barbecue and a lovely table for alfresco dinning, overlooking the swimming pool and with panoramic viws of the sea. The self-contained studio annexe with open plan living area and kitchenette is accessible via an outside staircase. The large optionally heated swimming pool is set on the level below and provides access to the seashore. Please note this is rocky and irregular and guests use this at their own discretion and responsibility. Facilities are close by, and in Santa Cruz, you will find a good selection of restaurants and cafés. The Capital, Funchal is a mere 15 minute drive away from the capital, Funchal.

Swimming pool heating:
Heating is optional and costs 150,00€ per week for 24ºC, paid in cash on arrival.
A supplement of 50,00€ per week applies for each additional degree up to a maximum of 26ºC
Pool heating can be provided and should be requested at least one week in advance. Should it be requested after arrival at the villa, the minimum charge applicable is one week, which is payable from the time the heating is turned on.

Secure parking facilities for 1 car. Although not essential, as in most villas, a hire car is recommended.

Nearby:
Within close walking distance, there is a mini-market, cafés, a selection of restaurants (including a takeaway) and a pharmacy. A large, branded supermarkets can also be found about 6 km away.
There is a pebble beach, São Pedro Beach, located at about 100 meters from the villa. It's the perfect spot for a nice swim in clear waters.

Cleaning
Cleaning and linen change is provided every 7 days.
All linen and towels are provided, including towels for the swimming pool.
For health reasons, line for a baby cot is not provided and you should bring your own.

Booking Notes
The rental value varies with the number of people occupying the property, so please ensure you enter the correct dates, number of adults, children and infants. Please note that supplements apply should additional people join you for any length of time.
To secure your reservation we require a non-refundable deposit, or the full amount if you are arriving within 8 weeks.
The balance is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
A security deposit of 300€ is required payable in cash on arrival.

Final details for check-in and driving instructions to the property will be sent 7 days prior to arrival. A contact number will be provided, and to be able to access the property, you need to phone this number as you are leaving the airport. It is your responsibility to contact and advise the number provided on the check-in details to advise any delays to the expected check-in time.

Check-in times - at the property - are between 16H00 and 19H00. For Sunday arrivals and out of hours check-in, alternative arrangements will be made and an additional cost will apply.

Check-in and check-out flexibility will be applied where possible, but this will depend on housekeeping schedules and the departure and arrival days of other reservations either side of your stay; a definitive answer can only be provided within 24 hours of your arrival for check-in and your departure for check-out.
