We had a really fine stay, almost everything was great. A few little things that weren't there when we arrived were immediately fixed by the owners. Communication was good and quick. We enjoyed the villa and all its services/facilities. Would recommend this place!

Beautiful home, just as listed. Everything worked perfectly, from appliances to w/d machines. Heated bathroom floors, electric towel warmer. Amazing view of the fireworks. Close to pharmacy, bakery and supermarket. You must have a car…not walkable at all! Huge/steep hills all over, as every place in Funchal. We will stay there again for sure.

The villa was beautiful and the view from the balcony is amazing! The villa is incredibly clean and equipped with everything you could need.

What an amazing house! It is absolutely beautiful! The pool area is so lovely - we enjoyed morning coffee and watched the sunrise and enjoyed cocktails by the pool and watched the sunset. The views from the house are breathtaking. The house is so comfortable - the living space is welcoming, the kitchen has everything you need, the beds are comfortable, it is just perfect. There are restaurants within walking distance and lots of shopping and dining options just a 10 minute drive away. We rented a car and explored the entire island and the house was a perfect location for our daily adventures. We loved our stay so much - we hope to come back to Madeira some day and if we do we will definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed a great stay at Vila Portada. It was exactly as listed which provided us with the perfect space for our holiday. The views over Funchal were stunning and the check in and check out couldn't have been easier.

Amazing villa with a wonderful view over Madeira. It had all amenities needed. It was easy to be in touch with OurMadeira and the were very helpful. It was located high up hill so be prepared to walk a lot uphill and downhill or move around by car. But it is totally worth the view!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Vila Da Portada! It's a beautiful house situated in a great area which makes getting into Funchal ro seeing the rest fo the island easy. Very comfortable house. Well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, towels, vacuum cleaner, …). Pool was warmer than expected (> 27 C in July). Lot of shadow and sunny places. Beautiful view. Friendly and fast contact.

We had a lovely stay at Vila da Portada. The house was modern, clean and spacious - just as pictured. There is an amazing view of Funchal below and of the sea which we loved looking out on. The terrace area is a great space to sit and the pool is a bonus! It was a good base for venturing out on hikes as many can be found within a 30 minute drive. All communication was good and check in/out was easy. Thanks for having us!

This villa has everything you need. Good wifi, Dishwasher, Washing machine fresh coffee maker, Big TV. Heated pool and lots. The meet and greet by Norberta and the guys was really good. Giving you the chance to ask all the questions you might have on arrival at the Villa. There is a bus stop just 30m from the gate which runs about every hours and takes you into Funchall. There is also a local bar just 100meters or so along the road ( which is well used by the locals which is always a good sign in my eyes) The most important question... Would we go back and stay in the villa... 100% YES!!!!!

This property is nothing short of amazing. From the beautifull views, to the clean pool and nice pateo with sofas. The decor is something out of a magazine. There is TV in every room. I'm very picky about matresses and these were incredible. Really good night's rest. The kitchen is well equiped with every utensil you might need to cook. There is also a barbecue outside. Everything was spotlessly clean when we arrived and they even included a bag of bread, cheese, butter, strawberry marmelade, a bottle of water, milk and a really nice bottle of wine, a Nice welcome touch. It has a PS4 for the kids. There is parking space inside, the gate is automatic with a remote control. I would definetly recomend all my friends to book this property. When I'm back in Madeira I will definetly book this again.

The villa is in a great location, just a few minutes by car to Funchal centre and all the main roads to get around the island. There's a big supermarket, Continente, for all the essentials within 5 mins. The views are amazing! The house itself is modern, spacious, well equipped, and very secure. Highly recommended

A casa é ótima e tem uma vista magnifica;-) Exatamente como nas fotografias é mesmo um verdadeiro spot para usufruir de umas boas férias na Madeira. É muito bem equipada e tem tudo o que é preciso para se passarem uns bons e agradáveis dias. Não posso esquecer de referir que estava tudo muito limpo. Sem duvida alguma recomendo a todos os que queiram ir visitar só basta conseguirem arranjar disponibilidade;-) Muito obrigada!!!

We loved our time at Vila da Portada. The hosts were very communicative and easy to deal with. The premises were very clean and we were very impressed with how the property stayed very clean during our visit, even with the indoor/outdoor flow of the house. The landscaping is very well done and the herb garden was such a lovely surprising touch. The bedrooms were very comfortable, just the right size with the amount of storage necessary to unpack for our stay. It's very easy to drive down to town to the big Pingo Doce supermarket to stock up for the week and/or the restaurants in town. The location of the villa is on a hill above town and not walking distance to many restaurants etc, but the views, peace and quiet are very worthwhile. Getting into town with a car, taxi or Uber is very quick and easy. Thanks so much for a lovely stay in Madeira, we can't wait to come back!

Das Haus war echt super modern Eingerichtet es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Aussicht zum Hafen war genial. Madeira ist eine wunder schöne Insel und da war ich nicht das letzte mal.

Wir haben das Haus im Februar für eine Woche gebucht und haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Ausstattung und Komfort sind wirklich lobenswert. Bei Sturm hat man allerdings ziemlich laute klappernde Geräusche von den Seilen, die gegen das Sonnenverdeck schlagen. Das könnte einem nachts den Schlaf rauben. Wir wussten uns aber zu helfen und haben die Seile mit Handtüchern umwickelt. Hat keine 2 Minuten gedauert und das Problem war abgestellt. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können diese tolle Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Bei Anreise mit dem Mietwagen sollte man sich der sehr steilen Straßenverhältnisse aus Madeira bewusst sein, da das Haus in ca. 500 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel liegt. Dafür wird man aber mit einem fantastischen Ausblick belohnt. Dass das Haus direkt an einer Straße liegt, hat uns persönlich nicht gestört. Im Winter ist die Straße vielleicht auch nicht so stark befahren. Von uns gibt es 5 von 5 Sternen.

Ich kann einen Aufenthalt in der Vila da Portada wirklich nur jedem weiter empfehlen. Wir haben die Unterkunft in einem sehr gepflegten und sauberen Zustand vorgefunden. Es war alles vor Ort was man für den täglichen Alltag so benötigt. Ein Auto ist mit Sicherheit von Vorteil ☝ es sei denn man nimmt in Kauf mit dem Bus zu fahren ‍♀️. Vor allem aber auch die tolle Betreuung durch Noberta (Organisation des Mietwagens, Abholung vom und zum Flughafen, Essenstipps etc) soll auf diesem Weg ebenfalls noch erwähnt werden. Auch ein Grund dafür, dass wir auf jeden Fall wieder kommen

erstlkassiger Ausblick, besser als im Exposee beschrieben, Zufahrt jedoch für Fahranfänger mit Vorsicht zu genießen, alles Weitere angenehm und erfreulich, wie aus dem Exposee zu erwarten.

Man findet tatsächlich genau so ein tolles Haus vor, wie es die Bilder und die Beschreibung versprechen. Innen wie außen. Alles da, alles ordentlich, alles sauber. Die Lage am Berg in 400 Metern Höhe ermöglicht diesen grandiosen Blick über Funchal und die See. Die gesamte Abwicklung über "Our Madeira" war von Anfang bis Ende überdurchschnittlich gut. Großes Lob an Norberta und Carolina! Nachfolgender Punkt sollte einem jedoch bewusst sein: das Haus liegt nicht in einer verschlafenen Sackgasse, sondern an einer gering frequentierten Funchaler Straße, die in einer Kurve um das Grundstück herum führt. Es gibt Bus- und auch LKW-Verkehr. Außerdem wird zu den normalen Geräuschen des Straßenverkehrs auch mal gehupt. Im Haus ist es bei geschlossenen Fenstern absolut still. Die beste eigene Einschätzung kann man sich mittels Google Maps (Satelliten Sicht) und Google Street View verschaffen. Ich kann das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und würde es auch selbst wieder buchen.

Die Unterkunft war top ausgestattet, alles sehr neu. Lage und Anbindung zum Busnetz war super. Pollheizung hat sich gelohnt.

Sehr schöne und hochwertige Ausstattung. Tolle Lage. Der Aufenthalt hat uns komplett entspannt. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Modern and spotlessly clean villa with stunning views over Funchal. Excellent, very spacious and well equipped pool area, with heating of the pool a recommended option. The villa is very well maintained and the owner has continued to develop the property, adding a small terrace to the existing pool area. The villa is well located for visiting Funchal and Monte, but a car is recommended. Public transport is possible, as there are nearby bus stops. We experienced excellent service from Our Madeira before arrival and during the holiday. This was our second visit to the villa, which did not disappoint.

Sehr schönes Haus, sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Pool, die Sonnenliegen und besonders der Blick auf Funchal laden sehr zum Verweilen ein. Das Willkommenspaket, bestehend aus Marmelade und Brötchen, ist sehr aufmerksam. Wie überall in Funchal braucht man jedoch ein Auto, die Villa liegt im Hang von Monte, und sogar der Gang zum Bäcker (ca. 15 Minuten) auf einer sehr steil abfallenden Straße ist schwierig und für Knei und Füße eine Tortur. Die Betten empfanden wir als etwas hart.

Alles war wie so schön wie auf der Website abgebildet und beschrieben. Besonders begeistert waren wir von der hochwertigen Bad- und Kücheneinrichtung, den guten Betten / Matratzen, dem Pool und dem hervorragenden Service. Es war der perfekte Standort um mit dem Mietwagen die Insel zu erkunden. Die Restaurantliste haben wir abgearbeitet und können wir nur weiterempfehlen.

Perfekt ausgestattet. Sehr sauber. Stilvoll eingerichtet, Sehr nette hilfsbereite Vermieter. Unkomplizierte Abwicklung. Super Lage über Funchal mit Meeresblick in direkter Nähe zu den Bergen. We had a very relaxing and refreshing stay. The house is at a very high standard, it was spotlessly cleaned and decorated at a beautiful modern, understated interior design. It was wonderful to return from our various trips over the island to this place where we could enjoy the view of the endless ocean by day and the lights of Funchal by night. We felt very well looked after by the agency on arrival and when checking out. - There is a road of medium size going round the property with some traffic on it (a few metres below the level of the property) however we did not feel disturbed by it and the house itself is very well insulated, so during the night it was very quiet. - We also took advantage from the busstop right in front of the property and on two occasions walked uphill to Monte (quite steep, but not longer than 20 minutes), using the little road behind the house. In Monte one then can take the cable car down to Funchal.

Beautiful villa over looking harbour of Funchal fantastic views, modern with a very high spec finish you would want these builders every time superb. 3 bed 2 bath with underfloor heating throughout air con throughout, everything you need really utensils wise kitchen / lounge diner. internet very good WiFi 56mb i took my amazon firestick with me for more tv options, outside good size pool very safe area, outside cold shower, sink, barbecue, outside toilet / wash. 6 sunbeds ratton table & chairs, also large table & chairs for dining, local bus into centre 50 yards away 2 euros last bus back 2330 number 22 both ways, all in all exceptional only slight negative we spent a lot of time at villa just to relax road was a little more noisy than we wanted, & needs a new toaster as rubbish. Norberta very accommodating let us check out few hours later as it was not booked next day big thank you. we will look to book again. Regards Colin & Deb **********

Wir genossen ein tolles , super eingerichtetes Ferienhaus mit perfektem Service und einem Traumblick auf das Meer.Leider steht dieses Haus in einer Strassenkurve , die sehr befahren ist. Wen der Verkehr und das Hupen vor der Kurve nicht stört, ist hier bestens aufgehoben.

Beliggenheten er fantastisk, med praktfull utsikt over Funchal og utover havet. Bra kollektivtrafikk til Funchal på hverdager med busstopp like ved huset. Flott pool, utekjøkken og hage. Gode senger, deilige bad. Veldig rent og moderne

Sehr schöne und luxuriöse Wohnung. Alles perfekt organisiert. Nur zu empfehlen.

Nous avons passé une semaine à la villa da portada sur les hauteurs de Funchal à Monté. C’etait Parfait ! Un peu difficile à trouver mais très bon accueil a l’arrivee. La villa est récente, très propre, 3 belles chambres à coucher, 2 salles de bain, tout le matériel dans la cuisine, lave vaisselle, machine à laver, sèche linge....tout ! Nous avions même le petit déjeuner pour le premier jour. La piscine est super, nous avions demandé de la chauffer à 24 degrés (120 €), salon de jardin, banquettes, barbecue (un peu long à démarrer) et une très belle vue sur Funchal et la mer. La villa est située tout près des fameux traîneaux en osier. Nous avons adoré Madère, des paysages de fous, des bananiers, des palmiers partout et des fleurs à profusion. Le propriétaire nous a proposé un restaurant le premier soir : parfait avec une navette qui vient vous chercher et vous ramène. Nous avons loué un minibus par lui et c’etait Très bien. Bref excellent séjour dans cette villa, n.hesitez pas, allez y !

Very well equipped and clean house in a nice location with wide view of Funchal. Carolina was our host and she was very helpful with explaining how we can take the most out of our accommodation and what places we should visit during our stay. Only traffic was sometimes louder in the evening when you sit outside (we did not hear it inside), but I think it would be same in any part of Funchal. We have really enjoyed our holiday at Madeira and the house was a big part of it. Highly recommended :)

A fantastic place, living area was nice, kitchen had everything you needed, bedrooms were really comfy. Outside BBQ was great and swimming pool was lovely. Pub just down the road and used the local bus service which was easy and cheap.

Villa avec vue panoramique superbe sur l'océan et la ville de Funchal. Très bien équipée et soignée. Le seul petit problème est qu'elle est située sur une rue où il y a pas mal de trafic. Mais, nous n'y étions pas en journée! A recommander pour tout le reste!

A very well equipped villa, with great views over Funchal. The villa has been renovated to a very high standard with attention to detail and I would definitely stay here again. The welcome pack on arrival is a nice touch and the management company make the arrival and departure very easy. The villa is not within walking distance of Funchal, however the local bus service runs past the villa and operates a good service, taxis are approx 10 euro from the town but do not pick one up from the bottom of the toboggan run to go into town as they are charge double. A great place to stay and recharge the batteries.

Beautiful new house, very well equipped with all you need for a enjoyable stay. We loved the big views over Funchal and the sea. Right from the house you can walk up the hill. There is also a little restaurant near by, where you can eat very cheap meat and fish. And it is not only cheap, it is also very very good!!! For us holidays on Madeira is a dream coming true! Thanks a lot to Linda, Norberta and Ricardo, who did all to make our stay unforgettable! We will be back soon!

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Zeit auf Madeira. Die Wohnung liegt oberhalb von Funchal mit super tollem weiten Ausblick. Die Fotos zeigen das Objekt genauso schön wie es ist. Unterhalb des Pools ist noch eine Art kleiner Garten mit Kräutern, die man auch nutzen darf. Die Ausstattung ist top und die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll. Zwei große Bäder mit Regendusche und Kommoden. Wir sind herzlichen empfangen worden und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

We spent a very enjoyable ten days at this property - it was just as described in the details and had all you need for your stay and very clean, including a mid week clean and change of bed linen and towels.We mainly ate out although it was useful to have the BBQ. It was nice to be able to walk to O Rustico's just down the road from villa and we also enjoyed meals at Olives and Espettus (our favourite). We didn't have a car and although buses regular did feel a car is a must. Would definitely recommend this villa to anyone visiting Madeira.

The property description and pictures are accurate, this is a very impressive property, all newly done, very well equipped, spotlessly clean and with splendid views over Funchal and the ocean. We stayed as up couple, so it was a very generous size for the 2 of us. It might be a bit cramped for 6, if the weather isn't good, there is plenty of outside space, but the lounge and kitchen area would be a squeeze. We had quite a lot of rain, so were sadly forced indoors more than we would have liked. We loved the outside terrace, with the pool and BBQ, as well as the roof top seating with chaise longues. It took us about 40 minutes to walk into the centre of Funchal, but it was extremely steep, so we relied on the bus, (convenient bus stop outside) and taxis. On 2 nights, we walked to very pleasant local restaurants, Rustico and Vasca da Gama and also made use of the BBQ on a couple of evenings. The property is well located for getting out of Funchal too, without going through the city centre, very close (we walked) to Monte, with its beautiful gardens and the cable car and with easy access to the mountains and motorway. We would definitely recommend this property.
