Vi var 8 personer som trivdes och umgicks i det fina huset. Alla par fick eget sovrum med balkong som var jättemysig utom en som fick bo i källaren utan fönster. Mysigt poolområde och härligt att sitta ute på kvällarna. En fantastisk uydickt över Funchal.

Fantastic house, view and pool. We were 6 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of space and works well for a hug to see the Island. Great outdoor grill and rating area.

Stunning villa, with beautiful view. We found it easy to get to and from Funchal using bolt app, and had no issues getting food delivered through ubereats. Hosts was able to communicate quickly with any questions we had. Would 100% come back again to stay in this amazing villa. Thankyou

Great villa with an amazing location relative to Funchal. 20 min from the airport, 10 min from the city center and other restaurants, and close to critical hikes. The pool and villa amenities were awesome, and the hosts were extremely responsive at all times for any issues, and assisted with check in and check out.

Absolutely gorgeous house, breathtaking views, beautiful garden only 5-6 minutes from downtown Funchal. Lots of space to entertain people, game room is a wonderful plus. The pool is big enough for swimming and just perfect having a glass of vine in a warm day overlooking Funchal and the mountains. We can absolutely recommend to stay here if you have a larger family. The view from this villa is simply stunning! The villa itself is very spacious with loads of room and storage space. Everything was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped. Towels were plentiful. Swimming pool was wonderful and worth the additional expense to get heated. Basement bedroom was a little claustrophobic with no natural light. Windows need replacing in a couple of bedrooms, but you can walk out to the balcony to enjoy the view! First floor bathroom could get crowded servicing six people with no door locks on any bathroom doors! Our Madeira staff were great, communication excellent and they were very helpful. Fabulous villa, location and service. Well placed to see Island. The view is stunning and owner photos are true to life. Would highly recommend for the hours lounging by the pool alone!

 

We were a group of 6 adults. The villa is well equipped and the views are magnificent. Lots of room for us. Definitely recommend. A car is recommended. Walking into Funchal is going down hill about 50 minutes walk. Taxi back . Supermarket about 10 minutes walk and restaurant about 5 minutes downhill.

Villa Luz and Our Madeira Holidays were absolutely fabulous. the villa is set in a perfect location, was well set up. We stayed with our 2 children and my sisters family (who had a 2yr old). There was plenty of space and things to do in the villa, it was easy to get around into Funchal and the kids loved the pool. Our Madeira were brilliant hosts, communicated accurately and quickly when needed.

Excellent house and view of sea and port. Plenty of rooms to spreadout! A great mini shop 10/15 mins walk away downhill. A lovely garden bar about 10mins. Excellent restaurant at top of the main hill - but took at 25 mins to get there as up hill. Walking down to sea is doable (about 50-60mins), but we ended up getting a taxi for €13 euro. Of course taxi on way back due to hills! Old Town is a must visit - so beautiful with plenty of bars/restaurants and massive supermarket.

Wir waren insgesamt 8 Leute und haben die 10 Tage auf Madeira bestmöglich genossen! Der beheizte Pool im Januar war ein riesen Highlight! Die Küche ist super und auch die Putzfrauen, die unsere Bettwäsche etc. gewechselt haben und noch die Villa grandios sauber gemacht haben, haben ihren Lob verdient! Wir sind alle sehr dankbar für diese Zeit und empfehlen es gerne weiter! :)

Insanely beautiful views in a grand house with the best location in Madeira. Couldn't be more pleased with our stay.

We loved this house! It is perfect for 10 guests. We staid for a week. As an extended family it was great to have a lot of space for both joint activities and me-time. The view is amazing, we were a bit concerned that we would hear the traffic from the highway, but that was not the case. We highly recommend this house. Ask them to preheat the pool, totally worth it to have the kids in the water 24-7. Rent a car and drive around the island, you will not regret it.

Absolutely excellent stay at Villa Luz. They were excellent hosts, and the house is lovely. Sitting outside by the pool in the Madeira sun was amazing, and the kitchen and indoor areas are very flexible for large groups of all ages.

Notre expérience avec Our Madeira a été très bonne, Norberta et Linda sont professionnelles et sympathiques. La villa que nous avons louée pour 10 fut une bonne option, grande, soignée et bien placée. Elles nous ont conseillées des restaurants locaux et aidées pour la location de voiture.

As a family of 7 with 2 young children, we enjoyed the wonderful flower island with this spacious villa as a base. The outdoor areas are great, the pool is beautiful and the house is easily accessible by public transport. The welcome was very warm and the villa was very well cleaned. We would love to come back to this fantastic place.

Obiekt wyśmienity. Wielka willa, przestrzenne pomieszczenia. Fajny wystrój i wyposażenie. Niezły stół do bilarda i zabytkowe piłkarzyki ale w pełni funkcjonalne. Piękny widok (villa znajduje się na jednym z punktów widokowych). Basen podgrzewany (opcja) i da się w nim kąpać nawet w styczniu w najzimniejszym tygodniu :) Wyposażenie w pełni sprawne. Internet realnie działał z prędkością 4-6 Mb/s . Dojazd nad nad ocean taxi Bolt to koszt ok 3.7 Euro, do centrum Funchal 7,5 Euro. Pieszo do centrum Funchal idzie się 45 min. Niedaleko przystanki autobusowe. Jedyny minus: trochę słychać odgłosy autostrady. Ogólnie w 100% polecam.

Perched above the city of Funchal Villa Luz was a wonderful quiet retreat and a great base for exploring the island. Madeira has shown exemplary handling of COVID with mandatory free testing on arrival and results delivered that night. So by the next morning we were free to roam (wearing masks of course!). The villa was clean, well appointed and had everything two adults and three teens needed. The big supermarket was a 4 min drive and it was possible to walk to the smaller supermarket down the hill. We had a car and used it to go to Funchal old town and restaurants, though some have a minibus service. Ther eis a lot to see and do and a week was not enough! Our Madeira (Norberta and Carolina) were really helpful and super responsive with any queries. Top notch.

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir eine Ferienvilla über Our Madeira gebucht. Die Schlüsselübergabe war in der COVID 19 Zeit angemessen gut. Die Unterkunft, Ausstattung, Pool, Lage waren sehr gut. Wir suchen schon eine Villa für das nächste Jahr, wenn man den Reisen darf.

Fabulous villa with incredible views, very well equipped kitchen, lovely pool and a spacious master bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has no windows so feels a bit cave like, but there is brilliant games room and all the other bedrooms have beautiful city/ocean views. Would highly recommend and hope to return.

Wir hatten mit 4 Erwachsenen eine abwechslungsreiche Woche in dieser gut ausgestattetenVilla in Funchal. Das abendliche Billard Duell war nur ein Höhepunkt. Der Pool war beheizt, lediglich die Sauberkeit des Pools ließ auf Grund des heftigen Windes zu wünschen übrig. Dank kurzer Wege zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten, empfanden wir die Lage der Villa als sehr angenehm.

Vi var en famllj på 5 personer, mycket utrymme och en av Madeiras bästa utsikter. Värt att värma upp poolen för den utnyttjades mycket. Bra spelrum och fantastisk uteplats. Rent och fint och väldigt bra kontakt med uthyrarna. Huset ligger en bit upp på berget så det behövs taxi eller bil för att ta sig nånstans. Bra priser på taxi.

We had a warm welcome by a member of the "Our Madeira" team. The villa is gorgeous and the view over Funchal is amazing. We, a group of four, had a splendid time at this property, enjoying the luxurious infinity pool, the great infrastructure of the villa, including pool table and kicker table. Of course, we also enjoyed exploring Funchal and Madeira on various trips.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Sie antworten Zeitgemäss. Wir hatten genau das erhalten was wir gebucht haben. Sind 2 Wochen in dem Haus gewesen und hatten eine lustige, erholsahme und abendteuerlustige Zeit. Die Lage des Hauses ist mit Auto auch sehr gut gelegen. Hat nicht weit für überall hin. The Houseowners are really helpful and nice. We got exactly what we expected and what we booked. We stayed 2 weeks in that house and had a beautiful, fun, adventurous and relaxing time. The house is easy to reach with a car, and you get around really well

The house was beautiful with many amenities and space. The view is breath taking. This Villa will not disappoint.

We liked the villa. The space was really good especially outside. The check in and out process was easy and roberta was really nice. The beds were comfy and it's mainly quiet apart from the cars that come up for the view and sometimes that's a few young people in the middle of the night. The WiFi didn't work for us which was annoying as we ended up using data which was more expensive. Also the pool was cold. The children were shivering after 5 minutes even though we'd paid €400 for it to be 25 degrees. It's a bit misleading to think it would be warm enough to go in. I did complain about the pool and WiFi and expected to be compensated however I wasn't. The cost for us to stay for two weeks was very decent however if you want to go to and from the old town everyday it's €30 in taxi fares or more if you go out at night too. The walk is nice to the old town however it's really hilly, so unlikely you'd walk back in the heat. There's a shop not too far away but it's a slog to walk back with shopping in the heat. I'd recommend that you hire a car. The outdoor table and chairs could do with being renewed as they're dated, but with the seat covers on they were comfortable. There's a spacious family room and dining table with nice furnishings and art work. The BBQ outside is really big and easy to use. The views are stunning.

Tout correspondait au descriptif. je signale toutefois un inconvenient qui se situe sur la terrasse salon de jardin, il y a une toute petite marche de couleur grise qui nous a presque tous surpris, plusieurs sont tombés et pour ma part le vendredi soir avant notre depart le samedi je suis tombee en rangeant les bains de soleil et me suis fait tres tres mal à la clavicule. vou s devriez mettre de la couleur car elle est de la meme couleur que le sol et c'est plutot traite.

Beautiful view, good communication, nice equipment. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a weeks holiday in this fab villa. Four adults and a 20 month baby and it was the perfect set up for us all. Plenty of space for our daughter to play and a lovely terrace where we had breakfast every morning, overlooking Funchal. The infinity pool was a huge hit with us all! The location is also great too. Lovely little shop close by for basic essentials with a bigger supermarket not that far away either. There are plenty of cafes locally if you didn't wish to go into central Funchal. There a bus stop round the corner which takes you into Funchal centre or you can take a bus the other way, up to a fab view point. The check in and check out, could not have been more straight forward and the recommendations offered in the welcome pack were greatly appreciated. Fab week away and I know that we will be back!

Huge house. Great views. Lovely staff to meet and greet. Pool temperatures were as expected and paid for. We were just 3 people but house would be great for a family of up to 8. However, suggest may not be perfect for very young children as some risks as house is in a lovely elevated position

You can expect a spacious, clean and well equiped villa. The checkin works without problems and very uncomplicated. You have a great view over the town of Funchal, while still being close to the highway and therefore to the rest of the island.

We stayed in villa Luzia for a week! What a house - it is made to enjoy and have fun. It was very comfortable for 3 families, with plenty of things to do in the villa itself. It a very good point to explore the beautiful island of Madeira and Funchal (being 10 minutes away from Funchal downtown was a hit).

Had a very relaxing time in a beautiful villa with amazing views. The villa is equipped with everything you could need. 'Our Madeira' the company that looks after the villa were very helpful and gave on lot's of information about places to see etc!! A car is definitely handy to have to get around.

We was a party of 10 people and stayed for 1 week. The house was perfect and a beautiful view. Close to bus stop with short trip to city center. About 1,3 km to shopping mall with possibilities to buy clothes, shoes, food and more.... Good service from Norberta and quick replay at mail.

Villa had all that was needed for a wonderfully relaxed time, pool was excellent but weather not so good, when we go again it will be June or later in the season.Pool can be heated so no problem with having fun. Boiler broke down whilst we were there but it was renewed the very next morning (good service). Car is a must as it is situated a bit far out of town and away from shops, resturants etc. We hired a mini bus so had access to all parts of the island. Visit the mountains if you can for some fantastic views. Resturants in Funchal are very good vzlue also tbe smaller ones. I could go on but just try it for yourself as you will not be disappointed

Excellent villa and pool area, very good games room. Magnificent views of the sea and harbour would recommend a car as it is a bit far out, but dont let that put you off. There are many very good resturants in Funchal about a 10 min taxi ride away also good shopping areas,supermarkets etc.make sure you get out and visit the mountain areas as there are some fantastic views . Weather was a bit of a let down, so we will be returning a bit later in the season next time. Pool ws heated (at a cost) so we were able to use it every day, all in all a very good time had by all (ages 6 to 65) would definately recommend this villa

Tal e qual como esperávamos encontrar a casa com tudo o que se precisa quatro casais que ficaram simplesmente encantados vista maravilhosa sobre a cidade e Oceano Atlântico, obrigada as pessoas responsáveis por esta maravilhosa Villa Luz.

There is no doubt this is a lovely villa with a quite stunning view but it is not perfect. It is furnished with taste and style and short of a sharp knife or two, always missing from holiday lets; there is nothing else you could possibly ask for. Parking is a bit of a chore with more than one car as there is little room at the top of the drive to turn but this is not an insurmountable problem. Two negatives stopped the villa being perfect. Green water in the swimming pool being one. It was very green the day of arrival and was still murky green ten days later despite the efforts of the pool man and his addition of more chemicals. On the last day we used it and from a foot away and wearing goggles, it was still impossible to see the bottom. It would be fair to say the water was not inviting and the pool probably had less use than it would have had it been clear, having paid over 200e to have it heated we were less than enamoured. We had a salt water pool in our house in Canada and the water was always crystal clear, perhaps this one was emulating the Olympic pool in Rio! The second negative was the squatters we encountered in almost every room, including the master bedroom and kitchen. Ants, thousands of the little blighters. They infested my wife's handbag, left on a chair in the bedroom, were all over the bedside table and were infesting the carpet in the main lounge when Linda came to see us off. At least I was not charged extra for their presence as I was for the one extra person who joined our party. Would I recommend the villa? In all honesty I simply cannot say I would unless there was some cast iron guarantees the pool would be clear and the ants evicted. Would I use the agents again? Yes they were unfailingly helpful at every step of the way, from the initial contact through to the final hand back of the keys on the day we left. They gave first rate service.

Villa Luz was perfect, we arrived on christmas day, had no problem to find our way to the villa on our rented cars. We were met at the vills, everything was ready and the pool was heated, nice. We had a spectacual view of the New Years fireworks! Wow, some extra credits for this. We are very happy with our stay and can highly recommend Villa Luz.

The villa is great in every way from the facilities it provides to the views you see, we could not fault it. Our first time to Madeira and such a great place to stay and explore the island from. The ladies in the office were fantastic and arranged everything for us. I would definitely recommend the tours they booked with Alexgo for the local knowledge our driver provided us. If we ever visit the island again we would certainly use "Our Madeira" to book with and would recommend this villa to future travellers. Thank you all for a great holiday we will remember for a long time.

We loved the villa and appreciated all the extra things that were there, like the exceptionally well equipped kitchen , the size of the beds and the overall quality of everything present. It was a rare occasion that we didn't have a car but it was unnecessary as the buses were frequent and the taxis cheap, It was a first trip to Madeira for the 6 of us and I'm sure we will go back, it certainly was a holiday to remember. We absolutely loved the island.

Idealer Ort zum Wohlfühlen und entspannen. Großzügiges geschmackvoll gestaltetes Haus mit gemütlichen Wohn-, Fernseh- und Esszimmer. Super Terrasse mit Pool. Sensationelle Sicht auf Stadt und Hafen von der Terrasse und allen Zimmern. Der sehr schöne Garten ist in Stufen angelegt. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Freundlicher Service. Wir würden das Objekt jederzeit weiter empfehlen. Ausflugsziele, Restaurants und Shoppingcenter sind mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar. Wir hatten einen perfekten Urlaub!
