Casa da Achada is a traditional and quaint 1 bedroom cottage in a privately owned 'Quinta', which is well looked after by the owner who lives on site. Perched high above the city of Funchal, its location is ideal, close to everything yet far away from the hustle and bustle of touristic hotel area.

Typical of villas in Funchal based on on old Manor Houses, on the ground floor is the small but well-equipped kitchen, the bathroom and a twin bedroom. On the first floor is a spacious lounge and dining area which overlooks the beautiful private pool and surrounding gardens.

Only a 15 minute walk and you will find yourself in the centre of Funchal, the vibrant capital of the island with shopping, markets, theatre and the Marina. Ideally located if you want to be close to a range of activities and facilities without the fuss of a car. Within a few minutes walk are 2 restaurants, a bread shop and a mini-market. The villa has free internet access.

The wonderful thing about Casa da Achada is the location. Although a car is always useful for touring the island, it is not necessary. The quinta is located in a residential area just above the capital and the centre of town is just a 15 minute, downhill walk. The fact that the bus stop is right outside the front door is a bonus! There is a frequent bus service Monday to Saturday. A taxi from Funchal to the villa would only cost approximately €5, so if you decide to go into town for dinner, the transport home is not expensive.

The prices advertised are for 2 people.

The house can accommodate a third person in an extra bed and there is a supplement of €20 per week.

To reserve the villa we require a 30% deposit and the balance payment must be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.
