We had a very enjoyable stay at BelleVeva. The villa was as advertised and had all the facilities and amenities we needed. The view of Funchal from the roof terrace was particularly impressive though the dog chorus sometimes at night could be annoying. We walked to the supermarkets and restaurants in Funchal each day which took approx. 20 mins and returned mostly via taxis which took 5 mins and cost less than 8 Euros. It is a very steep slope back to the villa from Funchal so be prepared, and bring directions, if you are going to walk. Our Madeira were very helpful throughout and responded immediately to any queries we had.

Le logement est très spacieux et la terrasse au balcon permet de profiter des couchers de soleil confortablement. Et que dire des feux d'artifices du Nouvel an, en 360 degrés!!! On peut atteindre la vieille ville à pied (tout en descente) en 20 minutes et s'éviter la remontée grâce au taxi pour 8 euros bien investis ;) Si en voiture, aucun problème de stationnement. Pas de regrets!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Our Madeira addressed our
concerns promptly and communicated very effectively. The driving is
a bit challenging to get there, so I would not advise a beginner
driver to stay here as the roads are very steep and narrow in
general.

Wir waren zu dritt für eine Woche in der besagten Unterkunft.
Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter verlief reibungslos. Der Herr
war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Altstadt ist zu Fuß in
etwa 20-30 Minuten entfernt und ein Taxi kostet nur um die 7€.
Alles in allem ist die Unterkunft für den Preis zu empfehlen! Ein
Pool wäre noch eine gute Ergänzung!
