We spent eleven days in your fantastic hotel and it was like the previous year a lovely journey. Rooms are perfects : big, nice and clean. Big thanks for the ladies in charge of our room. The location is marvelous: nice view on the ocean and outside the noise of Funchal. The staff: everyone is smiling, professional and make you want to come back next year. The food: breakfast, lunch and diner are aligned with my previous comments. In one word: BRAVO !!
A small structure hotel, the environment is very quiet. The rooms are spacious, bedding very comfortable, very clean, the furniture is designed and functional, nice terrace. The kitchen area is very well equipped. In the evenings, after beautiful days of walking, we enjoyed the restaurant with its varied menu. Great, hearty and gourmet breakfasts. Staff very friendly, attentive, smiling. Thank you to Hugo and all his team.

Being used to homestay accommodation, we tried the experience of this hotel on the heights of Funchal which were central enough to do hiking in the Pico, Porto da Cruz, Sao Loureno, etc. And we had a wonderful stay! The staff is incredibly kind and available, both at the reception, the restaurant and the cleaning of the rooms (done daily if you want). Some even speak a few words of French. The hotel consists of 8-9 super equipped and comfortable apartments. Good bedding, modern bathroom with walk-in shower, living area and well-equipped kitchen, air conditioning and heating, TV with international channels, etc. The breakfasts in the morning are exceptional: eggs, porridge, bread, homemade jams, fruit, vegetables etc. It was delicious and very hearty, so much so that we did not need our sandwiches during the hikes - We regularly ate at the restaurant of the hotel which has a nice diversified menu (sandwiches to the typical dish through salads). Everything we tasted was excellent, food as cocktails (some of the best on the island for us). We did our first days without a car and were able to get around by bus (22 regularly connects to the center of Funchal and other buses), then got a car for the further hikes. The parking of the hotel is very nice in this area with little location. In terms of location, you are more quiet (and cool) than the center of Funchal, which suited us perfectly. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Funchal. Good and comfortable hotel not only for a vacation, but for business trips as well. My TV crew stayed at the Babosas village for 8 days and the team of the hotel made that stay as simple and easy as possible. Always helpful coworkers, that can give you useful tips about local life and safe roads to go to. Yes, the roads to the hotel are tricky if you are renting a car, but there are few roads to go up and down, so once you will discover them you will adapt to Madeira's roads, the quality of which is good without exaggeration. So rent a small car, if possible )) Also the bus is passing the hotel every hour and the price for a taxi or cable car are fordable. Pluses - amazing tasty breakfast that could make you feel eaten until evening. Clean big rooms with amazing views from balconies. Place is close to the cable car and the Tropical garden. Minuses - very tricky roads that may confuse you at the beginning.

My husband and I recently returned from our trip to Madeira and had an exceptional experience at Babosa Village. Our original accommodations were cancelled due to COVID and we found this beautiful place on Expedia, and we could not have been more satisfied. This is a magical place up on the hillside with amazing views and great location near the cable car into the city. The room was beautiful and spacious with a full kitchen. The food in the restaurant was wonderful and some of the best we had anywhere on the island. Above all, the staff was the most welcoming, gracious and accommodating people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting while on vacation. I highly recommend this beautiful property and look forward to visiting again! If your looking for a quiet, small hotel nestled between the botanical gardens on the hillside, this place is ideal!
Everything was perfect: the room, the service, the location, the view. We have never had such good food before, especially the breakfast is a highlight! We can recommend Babosas Village 100% and will definetely come back.

Beautiful location. Very friendly staff and so attentive. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Lovely surprises presented at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a later flight and were able to stay longer in our room with no fuss. Very relaxing.

Das richtig einzige was uns ziemlich gestört hat, war die ununterbrochene immer gleiche "Fahrstuhlmusik" im Restaurant und auf der tollen Tarasse. Wenn man für mehrere Tage da ist, stört das. Wirklich schade!

Sehr großes Apartment, sehr gut ausgestattet, wunderschöner Blick auf den Hafen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück wird auf der Terrasse direkt am Tisch serviert, kein Frühstücksbuffet. Der Kaffee und der frisch gepresste Orangensaft einfach spitzenmäßig. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.
Super schön ist die Luft oben am Berg, wenn es unten schwül und stickig ist. Man sollte ein guter Autofahrer sein, die Straßen sind eng und steil. Perfekt wäre ein Deal mit dem Seilbahnbetreiber für die Hotelgäste, um in die Stadt und zurück zu kommen, das gibt es leider noch nicht! Sehr nettes Personal und gutes Frühstück/Abendessen. Apartement ist gut eingerichtet, es ist alles da.

We loved the staff - all the waiters and waitresses, the housmaid and the owners - marvelously smiling, friendly helpful and professional. The place is overlooking Funchal, but very quiet and easily accessible by public transportation.

Nous avons apprécié le calme de l'établissement, sa situation géographique entre les deux téléphérique. Sa proximité des jardins botaniques. Funchal est facilement accessible en bus.(arrêt devant l'établissement ). Les petits déjeuners sont excellents et variés d'un jour à l'autre. L'ensemble du personnel est souriant, attentionné et disponible. Le restaurant est très bon. Notre chambre était très propre, récente, pourvu d'une kitchenette et d'une superbe vue sur Funchal....avec une immense terrasse. TOPISSIME.....

Sehr ruhige Gegend, ideal zur Erholung und guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Natur oder Sightseeing in Monte. Geniale Busanbindung und zum Teleferico, sodass man in 20min im Zentrum von Funchal ist. Achtung: die Busfahrt gleicht einer Achterbahn ���� Wir brauchten keinen Mietwagen, angesichts der engen Straßen und Straßenführung auch besser, es sei denn man hat Vollkasko-Schutz. Das Frühstück und der Shuttle-Service zum Flughafen waren Premium (Auto+Fahrer)! Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit, bedanken uns sehr beim hilfsbereitem Team und würden wieder im Babosas Village buchen! Obregado, Obregado!
Hotel wurde 2017 sehr liebevoll und sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und hochwertig eingerichtet, an Bergstation der Seilbahn, tropischer Garten und botanischer Garten. Bus zum Stadtzentrum hält vor dem Hotel. Bodenebene Dusche, großzügige Ankleide mit Tressor, gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit hochwertiger, zweckmäßiger Küchenzeile, Schlafzimmer mit superbequemen Boxspring Matratzen. Zimmer haben Balkon oder Terrasse. Das Frühstück (knapp 6€ p.P.) lässt keine Wünsche offen: frisch gepresster Orangensaft, verschiedene Heißgetränke, diverse Brötchen, Marmeladen, Honig, Yoghurt, Eiervariationen, Wurst, Käse, selbstgebackener Kuchen und Obstteller mit wechselnden Früchten. Mittag-/ Abendessen kann sowohl im gemütlichen Restaurant, als auch auf der Terrasse mit herrlichem Blick auf Funchal und Hafen eingenommen werden. Erstklassige Qualität, liebevoll angerichtet, göttlicher Geschmack! Super Preis/Leistung. Das Personal ist überdurchschnittlich freundlich und erfüllt alle Wünsche :-)) wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und kommen gerne wieder!!
