The location, the apartment is comfortable and complete. Nice thoughtful staff. A very good restaurant with a variety of cuisine. The breakfast was also delicious and very well served. 

Three weeks of relaxation Pure!  The location of the accommodation was excellent for us. Babosas is located above Funchal, so it is a bit cooler than directly at sea level, but it is also quieter than in the center. The center is very easily accessible by bus. The Botanical Grates and the station of the cable car to the center of Funchal are also just next door. The staff are very friendly and the food in the attached restaurant is absolutely delicious and recommended.

We spent three nights in the 58m2 apartment, the best memory in terms of accommodation on our trip. The evenings are quiet, away from the crowds of Funchal. The staff is exceptionally kind. The breakfasts are exceptional and served at the table. In addition, after long days of hiking, we enjoyed having dinner on site

The staff of the hotel were very friendly and accommodating, so we always felt very comfortable. The superior suite was a good size and facilities. We especially loved the breakfast and the love service. Thanks to our rental car, we were always flexible despite the location in Monte. We are very happy to come back again!

The property is in a good location in Monte right at the cable car ride and the botanical gardens. There is also a bus stop right outside with a regular service into Funchal centre. The apartment is spacious, modern and spotless. The bed was a superking and very comfartable. The staff are really helpful and friendly. The restaurant is good we had pizzas on the first night and the local beers are nice and cheap. We had an awesome time in Maderia and would definitely go back, highlights were the botanical garfens, riding on a bus to Santana, north of the island. Eating out in old town Funchal and the near by fishing village Camara da Lobos. Not to mention the wicker tobagan ride, which is good fun. I would love to visit Maderia again and would highly recommended Babosas Villiage.

Bardzo komfortowy i śliczny apartament z przemiłą obsługą. Na plus także restauracja, zarówno śniadania jak i kolacje rewelacyjnej jakości. W razie potrzeby obsługa oferuje także opcje piknikowe, kiedy nie masz czasu zjeść na miejscu ❤️. Bardzo polecam!

Simpatia dos funcionários, o maravilhoso pequeno almoço e refeiçoes, a vista, os quartos, a limpeza.. tudo!!! Mesmo quando está mais vento é possível desfrutar da vista com os aquecedores. No segundo dia os funcionários já sabiam o que bebíamos, e acabamos por ter a 'nossa' mesa.

O pequeno-almoço era muito saboroso e servido em grandes quantidades. Os quartos eram bem equipados com materiais de qualidade, a cama, a cozinha, a casa de banho. Havia água filtrada nos quartos.

Super friendly and helpful staff (many thanks to Sónia, Ricardo and Hugo, just to name a few). Amazing breakfast, with good quality products and variety (and if you eat outside you can enjoy the view). The restaurant provides very good meals with affordable prices. Comfortable apartments with good areas. Free private parking and near public transportation (the bus stop it's just outside and you also have a cable car directly into Funchal centre).

Die Lage ist traumhaft oberhalb von Funchal. Hier ist es immer ein paar Grad kühler und man sollte sich darauf einstellen, dass es hier auch schon mal feuchter sein kann als unten in der Stadt. Direkt neben dem Hotel fährt der Bus nach Funchal. Ich habe mir aber immer die Seilbahn gegönnt, denn das war jedes Mal ein Erlebnis ! Der Botanische Garten und der Tropical Garden in unmittelbarer Ungebung des Hotels sind ein Traum, aber auch die kleine Kirche und die Wege drumherum sind einen Besuch wert. Ich habe die Option mit Frühstück gewählt - und das war eine Sensation ! Abwechslungsreich, ausgesprochen lecker und wunderschön angerichtet - leider konnte ich soviel gar nicht essen ... In meinem Apartment war ich von der 1. Minute an zu Hause ! Das Bett ist ausgesprochen gut und das Bad mit der Regendusche so gut wie neu. Der Wohnraum war sehr schön eingerichtet und hatte eine kleine Küche und einen tollen Fernseher. Aussergewöhnlich war jedoch die grosse Terasse, die ich für mich allein hatte, da in dem Nachbarapartment niemand wohnte. Zusätzlich gab es noch einen kleinen Balkon. Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und der Service einfach sehr gut !

Es ist ein sehr gelungenes Rundumpaket was Babosas village liefert. Angefangen von den sympathischen Mitarbeiter*innen über das hervorragende Frühstück, leckere a la carte Gerichten sowie frischen Specials bis zu den schönen Zimmern und der Aussicht von dem etwas abgelegenem Hotel. Die Bus und Gondelanbindung liegen vor der Tür. Gäste mit eigenem Pkw müssen ausreichend PS für extrem steilen Straßen mitbringen.

Es gibt mehrere Wege zum Hotel. Der auf dem Navi kürzeste Weg ist auch der steilst mit einer 125er nicht zu schaffen wir mussten absteigen���� bis uns Bewohner gesagt haben das wir einen anderen Weg nehmen sollen����. Also bei Mietwagen oder Roller ausreichend PS wählen gilt übrigens für die ganze Insel ���� evtl Ohrstopsel mit nehmen für Leute mit einen leichten Schlaf.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück und große Menue-Auswahl. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis.

C'est vraiment un excellent hôtel à tous points de vue. Notre chambre numéro 11 avec une vue était joliment décorée, avec une très bonne cuisine. Le personnel de l'hôtel était très sympathique. Sonia était toujours disponible pour toute information...un excellent petit dejeuner.

Sehr ruhig, trotz der Seilbahn in 50m Entfernung. Fantastisches Restaurant, sehr nettes Serviceteam. Üppiges Frühstück das keine Wünsche offen lässt, besser als manches Buffet! Idealer Standort, 2 Parks in Monte, Wanderungen direkt in die Berge (Pico Alto) möglich und mit der Seilbahn zum Botanischen Garten, oder in die Altstadt von Funchal. Oder sehr günstig mit dem Bus.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. The rooms were large, modern and comfortable with beautiful views down into Funchal. The restaurant at the hotel is amazing and we eat there on three nights in place of going into Funchal town. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel which takes you into Funchal as driving is a nightmare on the narrow roads in town. The popular hikes are 30 mins away on the motorway or up north through the country side which we drove to ourselves. Lastly the Monte gardens and cable-car are right next to the hotel.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist optimal. Sehr ruhig im Ortsteil Monte gelegen hat man eine super Aussicht auf Funchal und zugleich direkten Zugang zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und Wanderwegen. Die Bushaltestelle und die Gondel sind 30 m entfernt. Die Apartments sind sehr geräumig, gut eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Zu jedem Apartment gehört eine große Terrasse mit Blick über Funchal und den Hafen. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben immer im angegliederten Restaurant gefrühstückt und zu Abend gegessen. Die Speisen waren liebevoll angerichtet, lecker und günstig. An unserem Ankunftsabend bekamen wir sogar noch etwas zu essen, obwohl die Küche schon geschlossen hatte. So fühlt man sich wohl, Vielen Dank an Sónia und ihr Team. Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung !

excellente prestation : confort, accueil, toutes les petites attentions au quotidien et la gentillesse du personnel. Rien à redire du début jusqu'à la fin de notre séjour. Excellentes prestation de restauration. Inutile d'aller diner ailleurs, on mange très bien et à des prix très raisonnables au Patio du Babosas. Quant au petit déjeuner, c'est un festin servi royalement sur la terrasse dominant la vallée. Merci à toute l'équipe et notamment aux serveurs et cuisiniers du restaurant qui se sont mis en 4 pour nous servir dimanche soir malgré que nous sommes arrivés juste après la fin du service (le dimanche soir, le resto ferme à 20 heures au lieu de 22 h et nous n'avions pas vu cette modification d'horaires.). Nous reviendrons avec plaisir et je conseille cet établissement.

The staff were very friendly, efficient and always happy to help. The apartment was modern and spacious. The food in the restaurant was delicious, particularly the specials. We loved being up in the mountains away from the bustle of Funchal, but with such easy access to get into town via bus and cable car. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Die Atmosphäre war fröhlich, locker und ausgelassen. Das Personal war mehr als freundlich. Man fühlt sich jederzeit willkommen. Die Räume waren sehr großzügig geschnitten. Küchenutensilien, Besteck und Geschirr alles in hoher Qualität. Viele der Attraktionen von Funchal wie z.B. der Monte Palast und die Seilbahn sind schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Aussicht ist sehr gut. Anbindung durch öffentliche Verkehrsmittel ist gut. Sehr guter Poncha.

Loistava, rauhallinen sijainti, jos ei viihdy kaupungin hulinassa. Todella hieno huoneisto! Henkilökunta ammattitaitoista ja sitä oli riittävästi.

Das Frühstück war immer sehr lecker und ausreichend . Alles war sehr sauber und in Ordnung. Die Einrichtung ist sehr hübsch und modern. Der Service ist sehr gut , freundlich und hilfsbereit .

Tolle Lage: ideal für Seilbahnfahrt nach Funchal (das Auto kann "zu Hause" bleiben); Ausflug in den Botanischen Garten, ebenfalls mit der Seilbahn oder Spaziergang zum Tropical Garden. Auch eine Korbschlittenfahrt oder ein Besuch in der Wallfahrtskirche sollte nicht fehlen. Essen und Service waren gut. Zimmer hell und freundlich.

Отель расположен на горе, с террасы хороший вид на океан, чистый воздух (по сравнению с центром Фуншала, где из-за машин воздух достаточно загазованный). От и до набережной Фуншала можно добраться на автобусе зы 2 евро (примерно 40 минут), но лучше арендовать машину - очень много мест, куда можно съездить. Дружелюбный и профессиональный персонал, завтрак все с тем же отличным видом на океан, номера просторные, чистые, хороший новый ремонт.

We were so delighted of the lavish warm welcome we received at this cute place where we were treated like kings, from the first moment we put our suitcases down. Everyone working here spreads a good energy be it Hugo, Andrea, Ricardo or the numerous other staff members, like the friendly lady at the reception desk. It was quite amazing to feel this welcoming atmosphere everyone was showing towards us, including the bottle of Madeira wine and cakes as a welcome present. We discovered the location last year when we spent a couple of good evenings around a succulent dinner near the nice fire and this year we had decided to stay at the newly built house overlooking Funchal bay. Quiet at night and even for people with special needs, you can access everywhere as there is an elevator taking you down to the rooms. If I speak about a room, I should rather mention appartment, as this is the correct definition. Modern, clean apartment with comfortable bed, living, dressing and bathroom, even a small kitchenette corner and a large covered terrace with garden chairs. You cannot ask for more! Located 2 minutes walking distance from the cable car which brings you to Funchal Center in 15 minutes. Bus no. 22 operating every 30 minutes stops opposite the restaurant, so no need for a car! At the restaurant they even prepared some chicken the way we asked for it, and every dish was just gorgeous!! Fresh vegetables, fish and meat grilled just the way we loved it. Thanks to all of you for having made our stay an unforgettable one. We hope to come back soon and can strongly recommend your hotel/ restaurant to anyone looking for a secret deal! Stay the way you are, you are good embassadors for Madeira Island!

Beautiful setting in a perfect location to explore Funchal, Monte, take o teleférico or to see the gardens. Caring but not in your face owners,helpful with everything you need. My husband had birthday on our departure day so we were served kingly breakfast (even better then usual). Tip: Come by the car and then leave it there and take a bus to the city so you can enjoy some poncha in the evening.

The appartment was fully equipped with plenty space for our clothes. Lots of space divided in living room with kitchenette, spacious bedroom and clean bathroom. Great view from our terrace where we could sit when we were resting after our trips on the island. Option to order food from restaurant above to our room. Near location to some of Madeira must see sights and cable car. All in all great stay in Madeira and for us could not be better.

Nous avons été ravis de notre séjour à Babosas. Le personnel est très à l'écoute et attentionné. Nous avons été merveilleusement bien accueillis par Ricardo malgré notre arrivée tardive (2:00 AM). Les petits déjeuners sont très copieux et d'un bon rapport qualité/prix. L'hôtel est situé dans les hauteurs à l'écart des quartiers touristiques de Funchal, c'est donc l'endroit idéal pour se relaxer au calme. Attention cependant, il vous faudra louer une voiture pour y accéder facilement même si l'accès par les transports en commun est possible.

We stayed here for 8 nights and had an amazing time. We arranged a transfer from the airport with the manager and all went smoothly. Hugo checked us in and welcomed us with a glass of Madeira. The apartments are new and everything inside and out is immaculate. I think you can judge a place by the quality of the towels they provide and these were large, thick and fluffy. Things you need to know; there are no shops nearby, so we paid in advance for breakfast on our first morning (it works out cheaper to pay in advance). We had arrived late afternoon so had planned to eat in the restaurant anyway on our first night The bus to Funchal stops next to the apartment, but you will have to buy a ticket the first time you go down to Funchal, once there you can buy a card and put as many trips on as you wish. The housekeeper was very friendly and did an excellent job during our stay. Our only criticism of the facilities in the apartment was the lack of a corkscrew! Hugo however, was always happy to open a bottle for us and he used to bring us complimentary hors'douvres when we ate in the apartment. The other things which would have been useful in the apartment were a colander, grater and peeler (I always take my own peeler) there was a welcome gift of Madeira, cake, honey and water on arrival. We also arranged car hire for 4 days during our stay through the manager as she had recommended. The car arrived as promised with all the necessary insurance, so that they did not even need to see a credit card. The car was useful for seeing other areas. Before the end of our break we had worked out how to get back to the airport by bus, so we didn't need the return transfer. All in all a wonderful holiday.
