I spend a lovely weekend at the beautiful house. There is no better place for a hideaway in Funchal. I loved every minute!

Beautiful apartment with a view, peaceful location, good bus connection and slightly cooler than down in the center.

Super Lage, super Frühstück. Wenn etwas nicht ganz passt, ist das Personal sofort um Behebung bemüht. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Skvělý a ochotný personál, skvělé snídaně, útulný a prostorný pokoj, skvělá restaurace. Úžasný výhled na Funchal při každé snídani na terase.

Adorei o atendimento e o cuidado com que fomos recebidos. Hotel ao nível dos melhores.

Apreciamos tudo sem exceção. Infraestrutura moderna, com todas as comodidades, confortável e decorada com bom gosto. Limpeza e regras de segurança, higiene e saúde cumpridas à risca. Ambiente tranquilo, serviço eficiente e afável. Pequeno-almoço digno dum hotel 5 estrelas. Presente de boas vindas (flores, água, fruta, bolo, mel). Kit COVID-19 (lenços de papel, máscaras e álcool). Piquenique para levar em substituição do pequeno-almoço no dia da partida (voo cedo). Boa relação qualidade-preço.
Nota 10. Agradecemos toda a amabilidade que, por momentos, nos fizeram esquecer este tempo "estranho" que atravessamos.

Serviço e comida com qualidade semelhante a hotéis de 5* Limpeza, simpatia dos funcionários e pequeno almoço personalizado e variado são os pontos fortes do alojamentos.

The garden apartment was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredible with fresh fruit, traditional cooked items and fresh cake. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The dinners in the restaurant were very high quality. It is an exceptional place to stay!

Tout était parfait: environnement calme et bien situé, la vue est magnifique. L'appartement est très grand, confortable, bien équipé, extrêmement propre et joliment décoré. Le personnel est d'une extrême gentillesse. Le petit déjeuné est gargantuesque et le restaurant est excellent.

Excellent staff, service and the accommodation. And particular Sonia who looked after me really well throughout my stay a big thank you . Breakfast was plenty and fresh. In the room a nice welcome basket, hand gel tissues and a mask. Since the room had cooking utilities, fridge etc was super clean. Peaceful surroundings, and the food served from the restaurant is also good. And the property, value for money without question. Also as a solo traveller I managed to use the buses around the island without a car, as property is quite isolated as I already knew this before booking. So maybe get yourself a giro card as cheaper than individual fares.

The apartment was amazing and breakfast was really good and rich! The staff is so kind, nice and helpful! Really recommended!!!

Het personeel was echt fantastisch. We hebben nog nooit meegemaakt dat mensen zo behulpzaam en vriendelijk waren. Bij alle vragen hebben ze ons erg goed geholpen. Het hotel is niet heel groot, en daardoor was het persoonlijk. Ook waren we heel blij met het lekkere uitgebreide ontbijt met vers fruit en dagelijks een ander gerecht erbij. Het restaurant heeft goed eten met verse groenten, de kok was ook bereid iets te maken wat niet op de kaart stond. De locatie is wel in Funchal, maar op de berg en niet in het drukkere centrum. Dichtbij heb je wandelroutes en parken, de kabelbaan en de bushalte is ook voor de deur. Persoonlijk vond ik de wegen te steil en eng om te rijden, daardoor hadden we geen auto gehuurd. Wij hebben ons prima vermaakt door het boeken van tours met pickup en door gebruik te maken van de bus. Hiermee kom je ook een heel eind!

Nous avions loué pour 7 jours fin janvier. Surprise, ce n'est pas une chambre mais un appartement superbement décoré avec cuisine équipée, salon, grande chambre, etc... Merci à toute l'équipe, Sonia, Ricardo, João, Hugo ,André, Antonio, la femme de ménage (madame Hugo) et tous les autres dont les supers cuisiniers Alexandre etc... Nous avions loué une voiture pour 7 jours ,plus libre que de prendre le téléphérique ou le bus. L'accès est un peu épique mais avec les jours on s'y habitue (montées raides à Monte) Nous avons été très gâtés par le personnel pour nos anniversaires respectifs avec surprise sur la table de l' appartement ,le soir ,de retour de nos nombreuses visites sur cette île paradisiaque : fruits et bulles pour l' occasion ! Sonia et son équipe sont à l image de cette île : chaleureuse et magnifique . Encore un grand merci pour ce bel accueil . Info : Avec le GPS ne pas mettre l'adresse de l'hôtel mais "caminho da lombada" ou suivre la ligne de bus n°22 (car la rue "largo das babosas" du téléphérique à l'hôtel n'est pas accessible en voiture). L'entrée du parking se situe caminho da lombada un peu avant le terminus du bus..

We were an elderly couple who dont like the hotel area at seaside but prefer the historic paths and parks of Monte. The hotel is next to the cable car station, also close to the bus station. Bus down to the center of Funchal costs about 2€. Breakfast was extraordinarly good with a lot of fruit. Other meals we made ourselves, and the kitchen of the cozy hotel room was well equipped. When we wanted to have a guided levada walk, the tour operator fetched us from Monte. The friendly staff helped us in all possible questions. The hotel is newly totally renovated and very clean.

De kamers waren geweldig, het ontbijt was super, veel keus, erg leuk opgediend, en ook erg vriendelijk personeel. Wij hebben elke avond heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant Ook heel vriendelijk personeel. De locatie ook fantastisch, lekker dichtbij de gondels, die je naar beneden en weer naar boven brengen. Kortom wij vonden Basbosas Village echt top.����������������J

Das reichhaltige und leckere Frühstück wird auf Wunsch auf der Terrasse serviert. Die Lage neben der Bergstation der Seilbahn ist ideal, insbesondere wenn man es schätzt, gegen Abend die sengend heisse, übertouristisierte Stadt Funchal gegen einen etwas kühleren und ruhigeren Ort auf 550 m.ü.M. auszutauschen. Das Personal ist reizend und überaus hilfsbereit.

Le personnel est à l'écoute, gentil et aux petits soins. L'appartement est spacieux, très propre, entièrement neuf et parfaitement équipé. Super rapport qualité/prix. Nous avons apprécié le calme de l'endroit. Si nous revenons à Madère, nous relogerons à Babosas Village Funchal sans aucune hésitation. A recommander ! NB : je recommande une voiture malgré la « difficulté » de conduite jusqu'à Monte (très raide et énormément de virages). Grand parking gratuit à disposition : gros point positif car plus bas à Funchal ou autres villages prisés, tout est principalement payant...

Very nice, spacious one bedroom apartment. Very clean and well equipped. The staff was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and they even made small changes everyday so we didn't have the same thing every day. It's really good they have the restaurant and you don't have to drive all the way down to Funchal to get a bite as the hotel is on top of a hill (as is everything in Madeira).

Wir können uns den bisherigen positiven Bewertungen nur anschließen. Wir waren 9 Nächte vor Ort. Zimmer und Aussicht auf Funchal sind wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben an 4 Abenden verschiedene Gerichte über Fisch und Fleisch bis Pizza und Pasta im hauseigenen Restaurant gegessen... alles sehr lecker. Bisher das beste Hotel, dass wir je im Urlaub hatten.

Hotel entièrement et récemment restauré, très confortable, très calme, spacieux, bien desservi (bus, téléphérique) mais voiture préférable (parking facile dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel) Bon petit déjeuner (fameux jus d'orange!) et excellent restaurant où nous avons dîné 5 soirs sur 7 passés dans cet hôtel. Possibilité de take away pour les ballades. Personnel accueillant, disponible parlant français.

Das Frühstück war sehr sehr lecker, täglich frisches Obst, frisch gepresser Orangensaft, der Ausblick von der Frühstücksterrasse bombastisch schön. Das Bett war zwar bequem, die Matratze allerdings leicht zu fest/hart. Leider fehlte eine Badewanne, und da das Hotel keinen Swimmingpool besitzt, war die Entspannung nach harten Wanderungen nicht ganz optimal.
