Cozy mountain hut :)
Great place and the owners. It's very quiet with nice views and surroundings which makes it perfect to relax and enjoy nature, we stayed in December and it wasn't cold nor rainy, not even windy :) Weather often was hot during the day but there is a need to use fireplace at nights if you need hot space to sleep. Thanks a lot :)

What a lovely review and kind comments - thank you.
Kidsfriendly Natural paradise
We enjoyed our stay in Casa Paddock so much, that can not be written at all. But we want to try to give a short view on the best impressions we had. It all started with a warmly welcome by the owners Francisco and Clara, so we felt very comfortable and like with friends. This quiet and remote location with it's lovely decorated, clean and well equipped apartment was just the perfect starting point for our daily trips around Madeira. It's almost like living in your own botanical garden, being served with fresh lemons and tamarillos. For the kids (2&4) it was the greatest to leave the house in the morning without mom and dad and just running around and feeding the animals or picking up grandma from the neighbor house. We could enjoy the nice view from the terrace and the quiet cold February nights in front of the fireplace. We also had an excellent breakfast service (every morning fresh rolls). We can recommend the location to everybody, of course you should be ok with horses living directly underneath and a car is recommended to get around. Madeira is the perfect spot for holidays with kids, the people are overwhelming kids-friendly. Our kids enjoyed the playgrounds of Camara de Lobos, Funchal and Camacha. They couldn't get enough of riding the "teleferico" near the Christo Rei Statue in Garajau. And levada-hiking in Rabacal, Ribeiro Frio and Estreito de Camara de Lobos was an adventure for both sides. The best kids-friendly restaurant we could find had been the "Hamburgeria do mercado" and Nagoya Japanese restaurant (where the kids could eat for free) both in Funchal. Thank you to Clara&Francisco and their team who did everything possible to made our holiday special! We hope to be able to return to this paradise again. Jenny and Thomas (Germany)
