Fantastic experience. House is very well stocked and modern. Host communication was excellent. Internet was fast and everything was spotlessly clean. I would be delighted to stay here again in the future.
Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Alles war perfekt, von der Begrüßung bis zur Verabschiedung. Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir waren mit 9 Erwachsenen dort und waren begeistert. Einkäufe konnte man in der Nähe erledigen und die Wohnlage ist sehr angenehm. Man braucht aber ein Auto, um alles zu erkunden.
The villa was as described, very clean and tidy, friendly and helpful welcome on arrival and departure. Loved the kitchen and outdoor space. Lovely views. It's just a 5 minute walk to small supermarket and 10 minutes drive to larger supermarket at Calheta beach where they have pretty much everything. We hired a car and travelled the island and went to some fantastic places. Overall a great stay.
Wonderful villa - the photos don't do the property justice! It was an ideal setting for our family holiday travelling with two young children and three grandparents. The kitchen included outdoor barbecue area was very well-equipped, and the villa had all the accessories we needed for the kids (travel cots, high chairs, baby bath and decent selection of toys). The villa is a located on a steep hill in the hills above Calheta and is a 7-10 min moderately strenuous walk from the local village, so a car (or reliance on taxis) is essential.
Great villa, clean, highly recommended! As good as it looks in the photos. The Host's representative was kind, and made sure everything was fine. We will not hesitate to return to this property when we return to Madeira.SS
Everything! Beautiful villa, very clean,modern, had everything you could want for a stay. Lovely walks and restaurants nearby, taxis to get you everywhere if needed. Sal was so amazing as our contact. Great pool,outdoor area, large villa for all 6 of us to stay in. Highly recommend! Exactly as you see on the photos too. Breathtaking views, amazing sunrises and sunsets to watch each day. Locals were all friendly and felt very safe too.
Amazing villa and great value. Plenty of space with a heated pool, bbq, gym and games room and a great location. Couldn't ask for more! Mid week cleaning was good and the host and service throughout can't be faulted. Thank you
Stayed with our sons 4 and 2 during the October half term just before the second UK national lockdown. Villa Rosalina is a large 4/5 bed Villa (they locked the 5th annexe bedroom when we stayed) located I'd say a 5-10 minute drive from the main resort area of Calheta. It's marble type floors and luxuriously appointed high spec bathrooms and kitchen help make this accommodation a very comfortable experience for anyone who appreciates quality. We stayed in October when things were getting cooler but it was still nice to have air conditioning units in each bedroom. Our 2 year olds cot was all ready and made for him when we arrived late in the evening which was a relief with young children. Outside there's a medium sized swimming pool, fine for smaller groups, which we paid an extra €200 to have heated to 26 degrees which for us was worth it. There's a good outdoor bbq you can use too which we cooked some steak over one night. It's quite handy having a decent well stocked small supermarket a 5 minute walk away. Our boys enjoyed playing with the toys in the separate games room and I enjoyed the pool table with a couple of glasses of wine! Everything very clean and COVID conscious throughout the Villa. It's a gated Villa with room enough to comfortably park I'd say 4 vehicles and we had no issues with our hire car (use Williams car rental they were excellent) getting in. There's a couple of cafes within walking distance but you would really need a car to get about and enjoy Calheta - especially if your not good with the steep hills which Madeira is famous for. My only real comment for improvement, as I mentioned to the host from 'Our Madeira' as we checked out, is the lack of any child safety gates or barriers. It's a 3 storey house with hard flooring and steep steps leading to the car parking area. We kept an eye on the kids but it would have made the visit even more relaxing just to have a couple of child gates handy. Again not a criticism we still had a superb time. I wouldn't have thought to visit Madeira before COVID and travel corridors but we had a fabulous time and would thoroughly recommend Casa da Rosalina.

The pool and outside area were awesome - the kids loved it. The size and quality of the rooms in the main house. Good supermarket within walking distance and a range of restaurants a short drive away down in Calheta.
1- excellente localisation : à 300 m d'un petit supermarché très bien fourni (incluant coin boucherie et boulangerie), non loin d'une pharmacie, d'une banque, d'une station service. Très belle vue sur la mer de la terrasse, Bon point de départ de différente ballade, la maison est dans une petite rue calme. 2- maison moderne, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le coin billard et la salle de musculation. Piscine bien entretenue. 3- coin cuisine d'été sympa avec un grand barbecue 4-beaucoup de salle de bain, y compris une proche de la piscine 5-quand nous sommes arrivés il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour le premier petit déjeuner : confiture, pain, café, gateau et biscuit de madère. C'était appréciable
Schitterend gelegen moderne ruime villa. De host (Isabel) stond klaar om uitleg te geven en de sleutels te overhandigen. Er stond bij wijze van welkom vers brood en drinken klaar zodat er niet direct boodschappen gedaan moesten. Villa was zeer schoon, goede WIFI overal, moderne binnenkeuken met alle apparatuur.
This house is incredible, every bit as good as it looks in the pictures. We were 9 people (3 generations of family) and stayed for a week. There was plenty of room for sleeping, grilling, big family dinners on the deck. Host was very friendly and responsive to all questions. This was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences. Definitely recommend.
We stayed here end of May, and can not fault anything about this villa. Wonderful welcome on arrival, they had also arranged car hire for us which was so easy on arrival at the airport. The villa has been restored to an excellent standard throughout, our kids loved the pool and pool table. Amazing sitting outside in the evening as the sun sets with a view to die for. Oh and you have to get steak from the shop at the bottom of the hill and cook them on the BBQ. We will be back next year . Thank you for all your help and suggestions for our first time in Madeira. We were a family of 5, children 10, 14. & 16 and we also took my in-laws overs.
This is a high quality villa with excellent facilities. There are shops nearby for essentials but a car is necessary. Our Madeira were excellent in communicating directions etc.
We were three small families with one toddler each and the house was perfect for us. Really good spaces for the kids to crawl around and perfect with many bathrooms. The pool and outside area was so nice for socializing. Also the excellent host that was very helpful all through the booking, before the trip and during. We can really recommend this house and host.
. Nice location: nice view, 5 minutes drive to best good beach (15 minutes walk), close to small supermarket, but you can buy everything there, close to good hiking trails. 2. Modern house - newly renovated house with everything you need. Good to have separate bathrooms for all family members :-). 3. Fast reaction on any challenges: we had problem with shower, which was replaced immediately. 4. Cool playroom: pool table, which we were spending every evening with :-) 5. Hated pool. This was our first trip to Madeira and we could not have been more happy with Casa da Rosalina as a choice - the location is great for exploring the island, located in a quiet little village 5 minutes drive above Calheta beach. It is a short walk to the local supermarket. The villa itself is stunning - brand new, beautifully designed and incredibly well equipped for a rental villa. The pool and outdoor area is beautiful, we ended up making BBQs here watching the Sunset almost every night. The view from the gym is unbeatable and the games room complete with pool table and playstation is a fantastic addition for older kids and adults alike in the evening or during the occasional rain shower. The history of the villa itself makes it all the more magical. Isobel was a wonderful host and could not have been more helpful during our stay. We would definitely recommend Casa da Rosalina to anyone and hope we will make it back very soon.
