Ideal for those seeking a contemporary villa with ocean view a southern exposure and a great holiday feel, Grayci's House overlooks the sea and offers everything you might want in a relaxing villa with private heated pool and air conditioning. Ideal for families and friends, it benefits from the main villa being complemented with a self-contained studio apartment with its own kitchenette and shower-room accessed via an exterior staircase.
Located just over a kilometre away from Calheta, reputedly the sunniest and warmest area in Madeira, off the main road and surrounded either side by banana trees, it has the benefit of combining peace and tranquillity with easy access to facilities and to the expressway access. Delightfully decorated, in a contemporary fashion with special personal touches imagined by it's owner, Grayci, the whole front is a superb solarium and heated infinity style swimming pool with sunbeds and outdoor eating facilities set on the edge of the cliff.
The house is divided into two living areas. The main part of the house has two bedrooms, and for larger groups there is the annex studio apartment which has its own entrance, a twin bedroom, shower room and kitchenette. From the parking space, the main door leads straight into the open plan living space. The 6 person dining area and fully equipped kitchen area overlook the lounge, solarium and pool. 5 steps down is the long sitting area with two sofas (one of which opens up as double sofa bed), a large flat-screen TV, telephone for local landline calls, free Wi-Fi signal, and opens via panoramic doors out to the solarium and pool.
A peaceful reading corner is next to the downstairs Master double bedroom with sea-views and en-suite shower room, which again opens onto the solarium. The second bedroom has two single beds, a shower room, a fully equipped kitchenette and opens up onto the back patio. An outdoor staircase accesses the self-contained studio area and third bedroom with twin beds, fully equipped kitchenette, shower-room and terrace with sea-views. Because of the unusual and contemporary layout, Grayci's house is suitable for families and friends alike, especially if you are seeking a little extra privacy.
The whole frontage is a southern exposure solarium with sunbeds and outdoor furniture, an infinity pool of 7m X 4m, outdoor eating facilities and a built in barbecue, all offering that superb sea-view.
There are many walks around Calheta and easy access to the plateau of Paul da Serra, with its many levada walks, makes this villa perfectly located for walking in Madeira and for enjoying a lovely holiday surrounded by the beautiful Madeira countryside.

Pool heating is optional and costs 140€ per week for a 24ºC
setting, payable locally on arrival in cash. For higher temperature
settings, up to the permitted maximum of 26ºC, a 30€ per week per
degree applies.
Pool heating should be requested in advance, at least one week
prior to arrival. Should you request the pool to be heated at the
last minute or when occupying the villa, the minimum charge is the
one week price, paid from the time it is turned on.

Less than 5 minutes by car (approximately 3 kilometres away) will

Sehr schön gelegenes grosses Haus mit tollem, beheizbarem Pool (ab Oktober zu empfehlen). Wir als Familie mit 3 Kindern waren alle gerne dort.

Prachtige plek om te verblijven, huis was mooi schoon en de communicatie was duidelijk en correct.
Great trip with our 2 boys 6 & 10. Late April so we paid the extra for the pool heating which I think was worthwhile. Morning weather was often cloudier/cooler with the afternoons offering some good sunshine and pool time. The cockerel next door is loud and early, take ear plugs if a light sleeper, we found ourselves up very early, but meant we had good long days. (Didn't wake the kids up as they didn't hear so much from their room) Madeira is a superb island, did lots of exploring, walks etc.
We have visited in April as 7 friends. Privacy was very good due to location between banana fields. The villa was in reality much nicer then expected. We did not request additional pool heating and the pool was still warm enough in this time of the year. Very lovely place!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property because of its super sheltered and sunny location for our February stay.The property has great ancillary capacity for children or shared groups (which we did not need) whilst the master suite was heavenly opening onto the pool. The only draw back was that having had an unusually wild and wet few weeks, sitting indoors is very dark with heavily tinted windows but this would clearly not be any concern in normal sunny times when every window could be drawn open to the full. We had windows open at every opportunity and in Feb had no problem with flies or bugs listed elsewhere ( so we never got to use the electric fly swat we purchased up the road!!) Really peaceful and loved the morning wake up from cockerels next-door..ive even recorded them.
A fantastic place with amazing views, surrounded by banana palms and mangoes- the photos do not do it justice. We had a great week. Well equipped and really comfortable. A good supermarket a short drive (or longish walk) away for BBQ supplies, and restaurants too. Would definitely book again. Worth knowing in case it bothers you: if booking for 6 the apartment has a separate outside entrance upstairs; there is no loo in the master bedroom en-suite.
Nice view and pool. Clean and quiet (unfortunately except for cocks from the neighbourhood). Great location - not in town but 900m to Calheta with restaurants and shops. You can easily fit 3 couples without problem and separate kitchenette/kitchen for everyone.
We loved our stay in Grayci's house. It's a fantastic place: very clean, large, well-equipped and with a marvellous view! We were sad to leave, but hope to be back one day. :-) We totally recommend this place! Ibrahim, Reema, Renee and little Natalie (2)
We loved our time at Gracyi's House. The villa was ideal for our family of 5, with 3 young children. The location and view is breathtakingly beautiful. We particularly liked the privacy and had a hard time keeping the kids out of the pool again which was very private. The villa itself is modern, clean, well laid out and fully equipped. Like most places in Madeira we would recommend hiring a car. The only slight negative would be the temperature of the pool. We paid extra for it to be heated to 24 degrees which was temperamental at times. Saying that it didn't take away from our enjoyment or use. We would definitely recommend staying at Grayci's house & would book again with out hesitation.

Wir waren zu viert vom 25.12.18 bis zum 08.01.19 in Graycis House und total begeistert! Allen voran natürlich der beheizte Pool mit dem sagenhaften Blick auf's Meer. Aber auch der Wohnraum, der Essbereich, die Küche und die Schlafräume waren top ausgestattet und haben unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Wenn es überhaupt etwas zu bemängeln gibt, dann dass es leider nur einen Fön vor Ort gibt. Ein zweiter wäre von Vorteil. Das Haus ist großartig, die Investition in einen geheizten Pool im Oktober hat sich gelohnt und wir haben den grandiosen Ausblick aufs Meer mitten in den Bananenpflanzen sehr genossen! Wir werden wiederkommen!
We had a wonderful stay at Graycis house at the beginning of July 2018. The villa is fab, so clean, comfortable and well equipped with lovely views, and the pool is great. Every day we walked down to the marina with a great selection of bars and restaurants and a supermarket for all your shopping needs. A very relaxing break . Little details like the welcome basket and the efficient service from Ourmadeira made it a holiday to remember!
Perfect house for our family (2 small children) in beautiful part of Madeira. The place is very special, surrounded by banana trees and 30 metres ahead is a cliff. Only backside is covered by other neigbours houses. We had a great time, more then we ever expected. Pool, view just from a bed and many other things make this place unique. I strongly recommend this property and hope to come back soon.
