Modern cliff-top villa, panoramic sea-views, A/C, heated pool | Cliffscape

Very nice and very clean villa in an awesome and quiet location directly overlooking the ocean. Nice and modern furnishing, comfy beds, low and unsteady water pressure and temperature in the shower, defective dishwasher was repaired the next day. Very attentive and friendly support by Dalila - thank you! Will gladly come back.

Wir waren als Familie mit zwei Kindern 14 Tage in diesem wunderschönen Haus und haben unseren Urlaub vom ersten Tag an in vollen Zügen genossen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und von Delilah mit allen wichtigen und hilfreichen Informationen rund um Einkauf, Restaurantbesuch und Unterkunft ausgestattet. Die Insel ist schon unglaublich schön, das Haus selbst nicht zu toppen. Das erste Mal, dass wir nicht wieder nach Hause wollten... Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

We stayed in Cliffscape for 3 weeks, extended our stay after the initial 10 days because we liked it so much. The location is fantastic ! The views are breathtaking. The house is built on the cliffs, and you have a 180 degree view over the Atlantic Ocean. The pictures you see on the website(s) are realistic ! The house is also built so that you can see the ocean from all three bedrooms as well as the living area. The pool is a true infinity pool, you'll be making tons of pictures, guaranteed (make sure you have the pool heated !). There is a large sun terrace with fixed parasol. Simple but adequate lounge chairs are provided, and there is a dining table on the terrace between house and pool, so you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking…the ocean. So yes, you'll be spending a lot of time outside. The house also has a grass lawn around the pool. Sometimes we took chairs out there, all the way to the edge of the cliff (there is fence), to stare at the ocean, and at some of the local fauna (the seabirds around are quite impressive). By the way, do take a whale/dolphin tour in Calheta - most likely you will be able to spot the house from the sea (it's high up though!). The area is very quiet. No planes, no cars, no honking horns, or buses or trucks. Car hire is a must to get around. Two small but very good shops and a pharmacy very close by. Supermarkets in Calheta and Prazeres are a 5 minute drive. Do go out, explore, Madeira is quite amazing. We toured the entire island, did several levada walks (is a must !) , strolled around in Funchal, took a whale/dolphin tour, visited desterted beaches with a cable car, visited wineries, museums. Oh, and every time you see a 'Mirador' sign (Viewpoint), it will probably be very good or excellent, so don't ignore them. You will love Calheta (small) beachfront - don't overlook the restaurants facing the marina, you can't see them from the road - they are superb. And Ponta Do Sol is great fun to visit - have a drink on the beach. Oh, and yes, the house has most (all ) of the stuff you will need. We were very warmly greeted when checking in, and received lots of information, so do ask ! Our experience with OurMadeira (we rented thru them, and also our car, also very recommended) was excellent, highly recommended. I could do on, but go ahead and discover it - you will love Cliffscape and Madeira !

We stayed at Cliffscape for a couple of weeks in November to get some much needed winter sun. We enjoy visiting Madeira and have been before - it has a great climate all year round. Cliffscape is a modern, fresh villa and has a spectacular sea view from a front line position. It's a 5min drive to Calheta which has a good supermarket, sandy beach and an excellent children's play park which our 2 year old enjoyed. I would recommend to families - it has all the amenities you need and a great pool.

Wir waren Mitte September für 12 Nächte Gäste in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Es liegt am Rande einer kleinen Siedlung, sehr ruhig, aber nicht zu abgeschieden. Das Haus ist geräumig, der Blick aufs Meer unglaublich schön. Wir würden wiederkommen. Auch der Kontakt zur Agentur war vorbildlich. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Lovely, very private villa with unbelievable views out into the Atlantic. Very well equipped and spacious inside, and very clean. Would recommend pool heating outside of the summer months, which takes the edge off the cooler pool temperature this time of year. Located just outside of Calheta, with sufficient shops nearby, although a car is needed. Good location to explore the west and north west parts of the island, as well as Calheta area. Would recommend booking via Our Madeira, who we found very organised, helpful and responsive.

Alles war perfekt und sauber. Die Villa liegt sehr ruhig und trotzdem in Laufnähe vom Supermarkt. Tolle Betreuung, vielen Dank!

Cliff house was our favorite part on the whole island and island itself it's beautiful and has much to offer. It's located in the country side, surrendered by empty lots and little banana farm on the left. We could watch goats down the cliff, cow on the terrace above and of course birds flying above. Just fabulous!!! Binoculars and lunette very available. Rooms are spacious, bed and linens comfortable. There was a crib in master bedroom which sent shivers down my spine. We moved it to an empty room.. Especially my 10year old, took full advantage of the pool, which in April weather it's something, even with 24degree water temp in the pool. Kitchen had everything that we needed with welcoming foods, coffee and white wine. We ended up cooking our dinners (which we never do) because where else can you find that kind of water front dinning experience. And OMG :!there is a small,sweet, herb garden with rosemary, thyme, mint, parsley and cumin. Just loved it! The view is ever changing and you can't get enough of it, wether with your morning coffee or glass of wine at the evening. And the whole place is so QUIET... with occasional squawking of the sea birds. House was sparkling clean and host oh so welcoming. If you go to Madeira just to stay there, you will not be disappointed.

This was our first time on Madeira and spent our holiday with 6 people in this villa. In summary, a stay in this villa is very pleasant, also because of the magnificent / unique view and essentially everything is available and very clean, as how completely Madeira. A small complaint (kettle defective) was done immediately.

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche auf Madeira und dies nicht zuletzt wegen des sehr schönen Ferienhauses 'Cliffscape'. Der Empfang durch den Besitzer, der auf uns wartete, war ausgesprochen liebenswert. Auch die sonstige Betreuung über 'Our Madeira' war sehr gut. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sowohl in der Küche als auch bzgl. der Bestuhlung auf der Terrasse. Der Pool ist ein Traum, uneinsehbar, wunderbar. Wir werden wieder kommen ...

Das Haus liegt an sensationeller Lage ist modern und gross. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause. Annahme und Rückgabe Schlüssel hat perfekt geklappt. Einrichtung Haus auf hohem Standart. Betten sind modern aber für mich steinhart. Da ich Rückenprobleme habe erlaube ich mir kein weiteres Urteil dazu abzugeben. Küche sehr gut ausgerüstet. Jederzeit wieder.

Super schöne Unterkunft Schlüsselübergabe und Einweisung war sehr freundlich und hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir hatten einen erholsamen Urlaub mit vielen Wanderungen durch die schöne Natur Madeiras. Die Abende genossen wir mit Rotwein, bei superschönen Ausblick und Sonnenuntergang im aufgeheizten Pool.

Vielen Dank für diese großartige Unterkunft. Dort passte wirklich alles. Vom herzlichen Empfang bis zum top ausgestatteten Ferienhaus mit einmaligem, unvergesslichem Ausblick. Wir können die Villa nur empfehlen.

Fabulous location and everything you need for a comfortable stay. We stayed in December/ New Year and it was quite windy. We didn't use the pool as the pool heater had teething troubles but Fernando refunded the heating charge without hesitation.
