Beautiful location. Felt remote, and peaceful as we wanted. Great views. Well appointed and responsive host. Access was challenging by hire car and steep walk to beach house. Pool great and warm in November. Overall Thanks to Bruno and Ruben for a peaceful week.

Super tolle Villa und absolut ruhig. Sehr schöner Zustand und klasse der beheizte Pool. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Weg zur Villa war eng, aber machbar :)

This was not our first time here and it won't be the last. A beautiful, peaceful place and super responsive host. They have improved the pool area and we appreciated it immensely. The place was squeaky clean when we arrived and we didn't hear a thing from our neighbours, even though we met them and all surrounding homes seemed occupied. Private and quiet, 10/10.

Loved our stay here - fabulous location with great views and a really peaceful, private vibe. Surrounded by banana trees and interesting to watch the bananas being harvested from the terrace. The pool was great (note it's salt water not chlorine); just what you need for a cool down after a day in the sun, and we were very glad we asked for the maximum heating to 26 degrees! The air conditioning was also very welcome and worked brilliantly! Bruno was a great host; super responsive and helpful whenever we had any queries. Loads of great restaurants on the marina in Calheta; we tried a different one each night! We could fit a Citroen C3 and Renault Clio in the garage side by side with room to get in/out on all sides, and were glad they were small cars as the narrow steep road to the villa is a bit challenging and not for nervous drivers! Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return next year!

Przepięknie położona villa , z pięknym widokiem na ocean. Dojazd do villi może podnieść nieco adrenalinę. Najlepsza część villi to strefa basenowa i ogród. Bardzo miło spędzaliśmy czas, nie mogąc nacieszyć się widokami na otaczającą nas bujną zieleń i błękit oceanu. Lokalizacja w tej części wyspy zapewniała nam przepiękną pogodę - jedno z najbardziej słonecznych miejsc na wyspie. Na pewno wrócimy

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit. Die Villa ist einfach genial mit einem tollen Pool und fantastischer Aussicht. Man hört das Meer rauschen und wir haben mehrmals Delphine und Wale gesehen. Auch das Strandhaus am privaten Strand ist besonders, auch wenn der Strand nicht zum baden geeignet ist. Bruno war super nett und immer erreichbar. Die schon oft erwähnte abenteuerliche Zufahrt zum Haus ist schon etwas herausfordernd, da aber so gut wie nie ein Auto die Straße benutzt, hat man sich nach ein paar Malen daran gewöhnt. Dafür ist alles sehr ruhig und privat. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

This place is what dreams are made of. The villa is functional and has everything you need to make yourself at home. Comfy beds and pillows. Amazing views - and to be surrounded by the banana groves with the sea view is magic. So peaceful and private. Hire car essential and the single track up and down from the villa is a bit stress inducing (!) but other than than.. pure perfection and lovely responsive hosts. Thank you !!

We had a great time at the villa and can fully recommend it. The pictures look too good to be true, but the place is just like them. We took every meal on the vine covered terrace, bathed in the sea in the morning and in the pool every afternoon. Having two full kitchens was very convenient for dinners down at the shore and the washing machine came in handy as well. Bruno was a great host and very responsive. The access road was no problem and shouldn't be an issue if you are experienced in mountain driving - otherwise you can always send someone ahead on foot. The beds were lovely and firm and allowed for great rest every night. Because the villa is located at the bottom of a local access road, the area is incredibly peaceful and silent. If you stay here, you will need a car unless you want to stay at the house for the whole time - and it would certainly be possible! We were sad to leave and would be happy to return.

We truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with it's wonderful garden surrounding the small but very lovely pool area. The views are stunning and it's an extra bonus to be able to access the sea as well. It's a very calm area and the mountain at the side is very beautiful. We even saw whales from the house swimming in the distance. Fortunately we had binoculars so we could see them a bit closer. The beds are comfortable which always is a plus. There were a bottle of water, some bread and wine as a welcoming gift. Very appreciated. And there were some spices, oil and vinegar too. The only thing one needs to be aware of is that the road down to, and up from, the house is very steep and narrow. Two cars can't meet without one having to reverse. There is very little traffic on the road though but one of us walked up the hill to ensure no one would drive down as we were coming up. ���� At the arrival Bruno met us in the nearby village and guided us to the house. Excellent ����

Die Lage der Villa ist traumhaft zwischen den Bananenpflanzen und Blick über das Meer. Der Pool ist schön angelegt - zum Schwimmen etwas zu klein. Von der Villa aus lässt sich die Insel sehr gut mit einem Auto erkunden.

Nachdem wir unseren Mietwagen in Empfang genommen hatten, riefen wir Bruno an. Kurze Zeit später trafen wir uns mit Bruno am beschriebenen Parkplatz. Er begleitete uns zum Haus. Alles klappte super entspannt und problemlos. ���� Bruno zeigte uns dann die traumhafte Unterkunft für den perfekten Urlaub. Wir hatten mit einem befreundeten Paar diese Unterkunft gebucht. Dafür ist dieses traumhafte Haus wirklich hervorragend geeignet. Auch eine fünfköpfige Familie würde hier prima Platz finden, da in dem etwas größeren Schlafzimmer noch eine sehr schöne Schlafcouch steht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschinen, Toaster,Mikrowelle usw. findet man in diesem Haus. Besonders der Grill / die Kochstelle im Haus, die mit Holz befeuert wird, fand bei uns besonders großen Anklang und wurde mehrfach genutzt. Die Badezimmer sind ausreichend groß, super sauber und schön. Die Schlafzimmer sind ebenfalls sehr schön, geräumig und die Betten waren sehr bequem - der Ausblick auf das Meer und die Bananenbäume ist unbeschreiblich. Wir haben uns sofort wohl und wie zu Hause gefühlt! Die Lage des Hauses ist einfach einzigartig. Das Strandhaus fanden wir sehr schön und nutzen es am Nachmittag, wenn wir zum schwimmen im Meer waren. Das gesamte Grundstück mit Pool und kleinem Wasserfall ist sehr gepflegt und wie gesagt, einfach ein Ort für den perfekten Urlaub!!! Einzig die steile Straße die zum Haus führt kostete uns ein paar Nerven. Man gewöhnt sich aber an die Auf- und Abfahrt. Mit einem etwas kleineren Auto wäre es auch leichter gewesen. ���� Vielen Dank für eine unvergessliche Zeit auf Madeira.

Merci a toute l'équipe pour l'accueil à la Villa Madeira. Superbe séjour. La villa est magnifique. Tout est beau et très propre et confortable. L'accès peut s'avérer périlleux car la route est très raide pour arriver à la superbe villa mais vraiment nous reviendrons avec plaisir car c'était un séjour magique ! La vue est formidable !

Nous avons passé 2 belles semaines dans cette villa très agréable et calme avec une magnifique vue sur la mer. La piscine est splendide, le jardin tropical avec ses grenouilles magnifique. Les lumières d'ambiance extérieures sont à top!! Le tout très bien entretenu! Le petit bémol vient peut être du matelas de la chambre parentale très dur ( ça c'était pas cool pour nous mais bon on s'y fait!) et la vaisselle un peu dépareillé et manquante ( 1 seul verre à vin)! Il y a un bien plus de positif…. En bref, on a adoré !

An absolutely gorgeous Villa. Very modern, clean and tidy. Excellent communication from the owners and support manager. Its very very quiet and relaxing and the private beach access and beach cabana were a real treat. This is the place for resting in nature, swimming and reading a book by the pool. You do need a car to do other things but there is a garage. There are lovely places to eat in the area or have a cocktail, its a very nice part of the island. I don't think this Villa is for small children due to steps and the way the pool is laid out - but we went as friends with no kids so no issue.

Die Villa steht in einer traumhaften Lage. Es führt eine (steile) aber private Strasse zur Villa. Es ist noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Der Gastgeber Bruno ist sehr gut erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden diese Villa auf jedem Fall weiter empfehlen und kommen sicher wieder zurück!

This AirBnb is a must-book! The location of the house was awesome; totally secluded and private with the most incredible view and Calheta and Funchal still easily accessible by a short car drive. The pool and outdoor areas were incredible to soak up the abundance of Madeira sunshine. We loved cooking dinner on the indoor wood-fire grill and the kitchen was perfectly equipped to live and cook within. Our host Bruno and housekeeper Rueben were great; answering all our questions promptly and keeping the pool clean and ready to use. Can't recommend this AirBnb enough; we secretly wish we lived here.

die Villa ist wundervoll eingerichtet, der Poolbereich ist ebenfalls wirklich schön und geschmackvoll gemacht, alle Zimmer verfügen über eine Klimaanlage, sind wundervoll eingerichtet und habe einen wahnsinnigen Ausblick. Die Villa selbst hat eine wirklich tolle Lage und das Grillhaus unten am Strand sollte man unbedingt einmal am Tag nutzen es ist herrlich und Ruben freut sich immer über Leute (wenn er da ist) ich würde immer wieder über oumadeira buchen, die sind wirklich toll vor ort und lösen alle Probleme schnell und wirklich super.

Great location, very close to the ocean you can hear the waves.Great design

Driving down the small road not for the fainthearted! Great to have heating ! Kitchen complements very basic and improvised. Open BBQ in kitchen/living kroom not ideal. The garden/pool manager Ruben, excelled in his work, and always helpfull.
