Dieses kleine Appartment direkt am Meer ist ein absolutes Juwel für alle, die eine tolle Aussicht und idyllische Ruhe dem "blitzeblank Luxus" vorziehen. Wir haben uns hier super wohl gefühlt und uns jeden Tag nach unseren Ausflügen wieder auf "daheim" gefreut. Bruno war super hilfsbereit und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Hotel'sche Perfektion findet man hier nicht, aber dafür eine Wohnung mit unendlich viel Charakter und einem Traum-Ausblick! Danke für die schöne Zeit!

We loved our stay at this airbnb! The location was perfect, really close to the sea, so you could here the waves and it had an almost private beach. It was super quite, clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, a perfect view and the host was super nice and helpful. We would definitly recommend!!

Die Unterkunft liegt eingebettet zwischen Meer und Bananenplantage, nachts kann man das große Panoramafenster geöffnet lassen und dem Rauschen des Meeres lauschen, die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und mit allen was man braucht /brauchen könnte (Toaster, Taps und Filtermaschine, Mixer, Entsafter, Waschmaschine und Geschirrspülmaschine). Die Straße zur Unterkunft ist einspurig und etwas abenteuerlich, aber sicher. Sehr freundlicher Kontakt

Nice cozy 1-bedroom apartment overlooking the sea, surrounded by fruit trees (bananas, mango, papaya). About 40' drive to Funchal. Amazing view. Direct access to the sea via a private path to the beach. Perfect solution to live Madeira's at the fullest and be in touch with nature.

We had a fabulous stay ! The villa is in a spectacular position, right above the little beach which isn't private ...but wasn't very busy when we were there. Swimming was wonderful in August, quite awkward getting in and out over the big pebbles but we managed. There was no strong current as mentioned by one reviewer ( maybe there is at different times of year) We loved having the use of the beach house too..... fabulous to take food and drink down for the day and be able to keep everything cool in the fridge. We only had one night when the owner's son and friends were down there and although they were very friendly and let us have a shelf in the fridge, we decided to cook back up at the villa for more peace. The villa has everything you could need and is very stylish and clean. Kitchen is well equipped and we were left bread, fruit and a bottle of Fizz which was very thoughtful. The road to the villa is scary as other guests have mentioned but we managed and since we wanted to have a peaceful week just staying by the beach we ended up just venturing out a couple of times anyway. Good supermarket in Calheta just 5 mins away .....good tip is to go there to stock up before you check in ! We will definitely be back ...just for the beautiful sunsets that you see from the terrace and french doors!

It was very beautiful! Everything was great. Bruno was very kind he showed us every part of the house and was always there for questions. Just be carfule with the road down there!!

Hi, We stayed at the property first week of july. I can only say that the property is exactly what you see in the pictures and more. We opened the sliding door to the living room and never closed it once during our stay as it was such a beautiful view and the sound of the waves was so soothing. The property is very clean and gave everything that we would have wanted. Communication was perfect, host was punctual and friendly. We had a great stay and will return next year. It is a quiet and safe location, couldn't have asked for more to be honest. Enjoy Regards Declan

We had a very lovely stay. I you are looking for a place to calm down and be for yourself, this is perfect. The apartment was very well equipped and clean. Also access to the private beach was great, although the waves were to strong at that time (May) for us to swim there. We can imagine re-visiting

A jaw dropping location overlooking a pebbly beach and breaking surf. Positioned off the road close to the bottom of a private track that is narrow, twisting, steep in parts and two way, no real passing places - perhaps one. Not for the nervous but very private - we only met one vehicle in 9 days. If you want peace with the sound of the sea this is for you. You will need a vehicle, nothing in strolling distance. Also I recommend a small vehicle and take out insurance to cover the excess! Fantastic sunsets!

Un endroit de rêve, calme, tranquillité et une vue imprenable sur l'océan. Un intérieur soigné décoré avec goût et très bien équipé. Une terrasse très accueillante. Cherry on the cake, le "cabanon" sur la plage quasi privative. Tout le confort que l'on peut imaginer s'y trouve : Très grande terrasse ombragée, bains de soleil, tables, chaises, barbecue, douche extérieure, sanitaire et la mer.

Très bel endroit face à l'océan, vraiment conforme aux photos. Superbe, propre et on s'y sent très bien ! Choisir une voiture plutôt petite pour se sentir plus à l'aise dans le chemin d'accès très raide.

Es war perfekt. Mitten in den Bananen Plantagen, das einzige was man hört ist das Meeresrauschen mit dem wunderschönen Blick. Mit den Farben vom Sonnenaufgang aufwachen und draußen beim Essen den Sonnenuntergang zusehen. Es war sogar noch viel schöner und komfortabler als gedacht. Würden es sofort nochmal buchen.

After working from home for more than a year I could have not asked for a better place to unwind and de-stress myself, perfect location away from hustle and bustle of a busy tourist district yet close enough for everything that you will need to stay there, the views, access to the private beach and constant sound of waves crashing into the rocks will surely take your breath away. There is a narrow steep access road that leads to the property, if you are not comfortable driving on such road then you should rent a smaller car. Bruno , who I communicated with was very prompt and provide me all the necessary information that I needed for my stay.

We spent a week before christmas in this very beautiful cottage which is very tastefully decorated. We enjoyed the wide look over the ocean and the sound of the waves. Everything we needed was there. A plus was the nearby beach with beach house. Bruno the maintaner greeted us very friendly and told us that we could call him if we had a problem. You need to be a good driver for the small and steep path down to the cottage, it is good to hire a small car. Thank you very much, we had a wonderful time.

eine perfekte Lage, sehr geschmackvolle Ausstattung, Blick vom Bett auf das Meer, Freisitz mit Liegen, alle Mahlzeiten auf dem wunderschönen Freisitz mit viel Charme, eine wunderschönes Atmosphäre für einen ruhigen und privaten Urlaub zu zweit am Meer. Wir fanden es insgesamt sogar noch schöner als in die Beschreibung und auf den Bildern angeben. 10 Punkte PLUS.

Un très bon accueil, un endroit unique dans un cadre exceptionnel avec des hôtes discrets et attentionnés.

Gerne wieder, besonders schön war das wir das Strandhaus auch für uns alleine hatten. Ideal für einen schönen Grillnachmittag mit schwimmen im Meer. Das Apartment hat alles was man braucht, der Service war super und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sauber und die Kleinigkeiten für den ersten Tag waren toll und vom Vermieter mitgedacht.Etwas herausfordernd war der Weg zum Haus, aber für einen geübte Fahrer mit Ruhe kein Problem.

Die Lage ist traumhaft, und absolut ruhig. Der schönste Platz von Madeira :-). Die Einrichtung war sehr modern und geschmackvoll und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super auch die Panorama-Fester, die man zu 2/3 öffnen kann. Es war alles vorhanden, was man von einem Ferienhaus erwartet. Man muss allerdings ein routinierter Autofahrer sein, um die sehr steile, einspurige, kurvige Straße sicher fahren zu können. cccccccccir hatten Glück und es kam nie jemand entgegen :-)

Super Lage, perfekte Aussicht aufs Meer, einfach und sauber, alles da was es braucht, geschmackvolle Einrichtung! Entspricht den Bildern im Web!!

Wir haben unsere Zeit im Cottage do Mar wirklich genossen!
Jeden Abend beim Essen den Sonnenuntergang zu sehen und zum Rauschen des Meeres einzuschlafen war eine tolle Erfahrung.
Die Zufahrtsstraße ist zwar gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber, wenn man kein Fahranfänger ist, definitiv machbar und für madeirische Verhältnisse nicht außergewöhnlich.
Echt toll ist auch die Küchenausstattung, die wirklich keine Wünsche offen lässt.
Das WLAN funktioniert tadellos, zum Fernseher kann ich keine Angaben machen, den haben wir nicht verwendet.

I think we could not have found a better place to stay in Madeira! Perfect little spot away from crowds with a private beach and beach cottage just a few stairs below the apartment - loved it! The sea front terasse is perfect for breakfasts, sunny in the afternoon and great for an evening BBQ. I would highly recommend this accomodation to anybody who is on the lookout for a pieceful, relaxing, sunny stay on the island!

Schmal, steil aber easy, das waren die Worte des Mitarbeiters der Weg zu unserem Haus fuhr. Wir haben in der Vergangenheit schon viele enge und steile Straßen befahren. Die Breite reicht gerade mal für ein Auto, das ganze steil den Berg runter, an vielen Stellen zum Abhang nicht gesichert. Auf der ganzen Strecke eine Möglichkeit zum Ausweichen für den Gegenverkehr und diese ohne Randbefestigung. Und das ganze ja wieder hoch. Wir haben uns genau 15 Minuten im Haus aufgehalten die Koffer wieder ins Auto gebracht und uns ein Hotel genommen. Die Vorstellung diesen Weg jeden Tag hoch und wieder runter zu müssen hat nichts mehr mit Urlaub zu tun. In der Beschreibung der Lage des Hauses wird mit keinem Wort auf diesen Zufahrtsweg hingewiesen. Dieser Umstand ist für einen seriösen Vermieter unakzeptabel

Was für ein schönes Ferienhaus. Einfach wunderschön. Hoch über dem Atlantik. Es gibt nur das Geräusch der Brandung. Kein Autoverkehr. Nichts. Nur der Ozean. Der Besitzer supernett. Klare Empfehlung von uns.

Un appartamento da sogno, fornito di tutto il necessario curato in ogni minimo dettaglio, vista mozzafiato, ospitalità veramente familiare, disponibilità e grande aiuto in ogni momento! Se non ci fosse un'isola meravigliosa da visitare si potrebbe fare vacanza non uscendo mai da quella casetta. Molto grati d'aver potuto vivere un'esperienza oceanica da una posizione così speciale.
