Everything was all right. The view was wonderful.

Wir waren begeistert von der Villa. Wir sind mit 4 Personen gereist und konnten uns dank der guten Anleitung und dem Telefonat mit Vanda wunderbar zurecht finden. Für den Parkplatz braucht man zwar bei den ersten Versuchen schon Fahrkünste, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran. Die Lage ist perfekt um alles auf der Insel zu erreichen, der Ausblick über das Meer ist unbezahlbar. Einziges Manko waren die Matratzen, die schon etwas durchgelegen waren, aber wir würden die Villa dennoch uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Wir konnten mit Schlüsselcode einchecken und am Folgetag kam Vandas Kollegin um uns alles zu erklären und die Kaution einzusammeln. Der Check-Out war genauso unkompliziert und ging super schnell. Die Villa war sehr sauber, alles vorhanden (Handtücher inklusive Poolhandtüchern, Bettwäsche, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, usw.) und on-top noch Brot, Marmelade, Butter, Wasser und Wein zur Begrüßung. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

We hebben met ons gezin (5 personen) een heerlijk verblijf van twee weken gehad! Het is een heel mooi huis, een fijn zwembad met een prachtig uitzicht op zee. Het contact liep ook goed en bij vragen kregen we snel antwoord. De kinderen vonden het ook heel fijn. De tafeltennis was zeker een bonus. Wij komen graag nog een keer terug! Hou er wel rekening mee dat een huurauto een must is.

fantastistisch eiland en prachtig vakantiewoning. Inrichting was volledig en recent en had een prachtig uitzicht. bedjes en zitmeubilair waren voldoende aanwezig. Vanwege het klimaat is airco in de woning wellicht niet geheel noodzakelijk zijn, maar was gedurende de enkele warme dagen wel fijn geweest. Maar al met al zeker een aanrader en we hebben een fijne vakantie gehad!

Dit verblijf was een een plezier om te hebben op onze trip in Madeira. Alvorens we in Madeira waren, kregen we veel informatie over de locatie en activiteiten in de buurt. Toen we aankwamen, werd ons ook verteld dat we welkom waren op een traditioneel feest in de gemeente, aan de kerk vlakbij. Het huisje was erg proper, alsook het zwembad en de tuin. Alles was in de keuken aanwezig en konden gemakkelijk koken. Het uitzicht was ook geweldig, we konden genieten van de zonsondergang. We hebben ook een aantal keer buiten gegeten op de stenen zitbank. We raden dit verblijf ten zeerste aan op je trip in Madeira.

Die Unterkunft hat einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Das Ankommen war etwas schwieriger, weil Amaro Mar nicht auf Google zu finden ist. Mit der Beschreibung hat es aber funktioniert. Alles war sehr sauber. Grundsätzlich ist das Haus sehr hellhörig, aber mir kommt vor, dass das in Portugal generell so ist. Küche war groß und geräumig. Pool war sauber. Alles super, danke :)

We hebben een geweldige week gehad, het ontbrak ons aan niets in het huis Amaro Mar. Ook de tafeltennis tafel is veelvuldig gebruikt. Arco da Calheta zelf ligt op een prima locatie voor onze wandelingen, maar ook andere bezienswaardigheden. Verder verliep ook de communicatie met Our Madeira prima. Amaro Mar is a wonderful house, with an incredible view. It is calm and quiet and also not far to the sea and shops and cafes. The table tennis table is lots of fun and the pool perfect, we paid to have it heated to 24C and enjoyed daily dips in February. The kitchen is well equipped which worked well for us as we are a vegan family. Lots of space for everyone to have their own time and also plenty of spaces to come together as a family.

The accommodation was excellent for our needs, and requirements. The main purpose for our holiday was hiking, for this purpose the the location was perfect. We also liked the house itself, well planned, and maintained, and kitchen was well equipped for our needs for a longer stay. Our host has to stay in isolation during our stay but she was well available via phone and chat, and always responded fast to our questions etc. We have stayed in many Airbnb places, but for this place we would give 10 of the 10 points FIRST time. Thank You.

We liked this villa with heated pool and had a great time ! We were however surprised by the fact that we needed to give our passports number at check-in, maybe it's mandatory by law but we were never asked this before in other Airbnbs in Madeira.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen erholsamen Aufenthalt in der Pool-Villa in Calheta! Toller Pool, perfekt mit Kindern, traumhafter Ausblick, ruhige Gegend! Das Haus ließ keine Wünsche offen, Service Dame Wanda war für Rückfragen jederzeit ansprechbar und Mängel (Geschirrspüler funktionierte bei Ankunft nicht) wurden sofort behoben! Neuer Geschirrspüler innerhalb eines Tages am Wochenende! Dankeschön Wanda! Kommunikation mit Agentur immer freundlich und zeitnah, auch am Wochenende! Fragen zur Coronasituation wurden ausführlich beantwortet! Vielen Dank Linda und Norberta! Insgesamt alles super! Würden in der Villa auf jeden Fall nochmal Urlaub machen! Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt!

Gute Ausstattung, viel Platz, toller Blick auf das Meer, gutes WLAN.

Schönes und geräumiges Haus in toller Lage mit einzigartigem Meerblick, sowohl vom Garten/Pool, als auch vom Wohnbereich und zwei der drei Schlafzimmer aus. Calheta mit dem Sandstrand ist nur 5 Autominuten entfernt. Und durch die vielen Tunnels sind sowohl Funchal, als auch Rabaçal und der Westen Madeiras in einer halben Stunde mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir haben die Südwestküste ausgiebig erkundet und mehrere Wanderungen, insbesondere Levada-Wanderungen unternommen.

Très beau et agréable logement. Parfaitement équipé. Au calme dans la partie sud de l'île. Nous avons adoré.

We chose to move to another house nearby Calheta Charm also hosted by Our Madeira. You can judge quite accurately from the website descriptions what the houses are like, which is high standard. Arco da Calheta is a good place getting the better weather in Madeira, the setting is a bit suburban but quiet enough and you get great views of the hillside and sea. You can have confidence in Our Madeira who will do their best to give you a great holiday, we had a great week there.cc

A wonderful stay in beautiful Madeira. The location gave amazing views of the Atlantic and offered us the best sun spot the island could give. The house is very well appointed and which meant we had a relaxing stay. Thank you!

This is our second time in Madeira booking through Our Madeira. Our Madeira make the whole experience easy and slick. The house is exactly as it looks in the web images, its really stunning. The view over the sea and hills are breath taking. Its a few minutes drive to the beach and supermarket and whilst here we explored most of the Island. Madeira is simply wonderful and we cannot wait to return. We did struggle a little with the beds, the matresses are incredibly hard and whilst that may suit some, we found them quite uncomfortable. We got around this by laying up the duvets on top to make them softer. As is normal in Madeira there are a lot of dogs which bark overnight, which seemed to be amplified as we were higher up. Whilst I love the different sounds of on holiday it didn't bother me at all but my husband was glad he had brought his ear plugs. This is a truly stunning place, packed with everything you need and in a great location. I would highly recommend this place and cant wait to return to Madeira again soon.

The house is fantastic. Very comfortable furnished. Very Space. Good service with a welcome package with coffee, milk, water, wine, cheese, toast and butter so that the next supermarkt visit can wait. Really can recommend a stay here. Thanks to Vanda for her assistance.

Casa Amaro Mar is a very nice and fresh holiday house. The beds are good and most of the things you need to make your food is there. There were sometimes not enough hot water for the shower. We thought that a car was necessary. Over all we liked the house and the sorrundings. The staff that we met were very nice and did everything they could to make our stay as pleasent as possible. There is no doubt that the description of the property on the website is accurate. The views are amazing, the villa beautifully appointed and surprisingly easy to find. There is a definite wow moment when you walk in. The villa was very clean and well presented with a stack of towels neatly laid out on every bed. We were greeted with friendly professionlism and our questions answered succinctly - even when it came to a late evening telephone call to find out how the hob worked! The welcome gift of bread, milk cheese and wine was greatly appreciated, although it would have been nice if there were some hand soap provided. The pool is beautifully clean and just big enough. There are ample sun beds provided. The kitchen is well laid out and of high quality with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses. Wi-fi is plenty fast enough and seems to work throughout the villa. The deck that surrounds the pool could do with a bit of attention however. It is somewhat bouncy underfoot and there was a broken slat when we were there. The village is the perfect place from which to explore this stunning island. Make sure you get a diesel car if you are hiring. The very steep hills can easily stump a small engined petrol car. The supermarket in Cahleta is an easy 10 minute drive away. It is surprisingly well-stocked for a small supermarket and open til 10 every day. All the staff I spoke to had some English. Remember to have change for parking. Only a couple of downsides. The steep side road up to the villa is pretty hairy to negotiate and could really do with a barrier. Satellite TV is provided but you should be aware that there are only a handful of English channels. There is a dvd player in the second reception room but no dvds to play on it. If you have kids, you might want to consider packing some. Double glazing would be a bonus too as the constant barking of dogs throughout the night really disturbed our sleep. Obviously this is not the fault of the owners and many people may not find it an issue, but it drove me crackers! All-in-all though, this is a tremendous place to stay and one to be recommended.
