It has only had a small number of COVID-19 positive cases, and the measures and test, track and trace system implemented by the local Government, has kept a firm lid on any outbreak.
Arriving passengers are tested free on arrival (if they have not yet been vaccinated or do not have with them a negative PCR COVID test, in which case they are free to enter via the green lane).
We also fully understand that in these strange times, with the risk of a additional waves of COVID-19, you will be wary of booking a holiday. We have therefore altered our cancellation terms to ensure your peace of mind, allowing you to confirm a reservation for a villa or apartment through Our Madeira without any hesitancy or concern.

SPECIAL COVID CANCELLATION TERMS
This is our promise to you:
If you are unable to travel due to Government imposed restrictions, either by the country of origin, or by Portugal, or due to unavailability of flights, you will be entitled to, for a reservation made more than 28 days prior to arrival:
- Receive a voucher to the value of the monies we have received from you. This voucher is valid for a stay within 12 months of the date of issue.
- Change your reservation dates and we will not charge any fee to do this.
- If neither of the above is possible, have a refund of the monies we have received from you.

The options offered under "Our Promise to You" are for bookings made via the Our Madeira website after 01 October 2020. Bookings made via other reservation websites are subject to their own terms and conditions.
Government Imposed Restrictions: Any restrictions imposed by the Government of the customer's country of origin or by Portugal which prohibit travel between these countries.
Unavailability of Flights: Where there are no flights available between the customers country of origin, or nearby airports in neighbouring countries, and Madeira Island, direct or with stops at other airports.
Voucher: The voucher will be issued in your name and be valid for the monies we have received from you. The value will be after deduction of any commissions or charges made by the booking channel, payment system or any other entity. The voucher may be redeemed against any booking for the same property made for any stay up to 30 June, 2022.
Change of reservation dates: the reservation may be changed to any other date of travel with the same price band (that has the same prices as the original reservation). You will have to pay any difference in the cost between the orginal reservation and the reservation for the new dates. Our Madeira will not charge any administration fee for the change of dates and will transfer any monies received to the new booking.
Refund: The option of a refund is available only if all other avenues have been exhausted, and is available for customers that confirmed and paid for their reservation more than 7 days before the check-in date to your property. It is not available for last minute reservations made 7 days or less before the check-in date. The refund can be made to your credit card (if a reversal is still available) or to your bank account. The value will be after deduction of any commissions or charges made by the booking channel, payment system or any other entity. To issue a refund, Our Madeira will charge an administration fee of 50€ (Euros).
