GrandView Cristo-Rei - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
  • At approximately 10.9kms you need to leave the motorway at junction 15, sign posted to GARAJAU 

Airport Garajau  

  • After exiting the Via Rápida, turn left. At the roundabouts, go straight towards Estrada do Garajau and drive for approximately 800 meters until you reach the next roundabout.

  • At the second roundabout, take the second exit towards Estrada do Cristo Rei. Continue for about 400 meters until you reach a T-junction. Turn right onto Rua dos Emigrantes and drive until you reach number 38.
