TerraceSea - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

PLEASE FIND BELOW THE DRIVING AND CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS FOR TERRACESEA APARTMENTS.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport take the motorway (Via Rápida) in the direction of Funchal and after this signs to Ribeira Brava.
  • When you reach the end of the motorway after a long tunnel (approximately 35 minutes) keep on the left lane and follow the signs to São Vicente and Encumeada.

  • This will take you along the riverbed and up to the tunnel that links the south to the north of the island.

  • On exiting this tunnel, keep on the same road and you will descend towards São Vicente.
  • At the first roundabout, take the 1st exit and continue on this road.
  • You will find another roundabout. Please take the 1st exit through the tunnel.

  • At the end of the road, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout to São Vicente.
  • When exiting the tunnel, keep driving down until you reach a T-junction; turn right here and drive until you reach the Church. 
  • From the church Igreja do Rosário, turn right up the hill onto Rua Artur Faria and go up the hill for approximately 500m.
  • Reaching the T Junction, turn right onto Caminho da Achada do Loural and drive for about 1.3km until you reach Casa Hortênsia.
