Villa Adágio - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport, take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.


Airport Ribeira Brava

  • When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes), keep on the right-hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava - Ponta do Sol.
  • The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1.4 km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel, and you will now carry on for 3.9 km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.

Prazeres 1

  • At the end of the tunnel, you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit, signposted Ponta do Sol, and drive through another tunnel. At the end, continue along the coastal road, and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, continue along the coastal road, and you will enter another tunnel.

  • At the end of this tunnel, you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left, you will find a petrol station and a mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.

  • At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharply right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
  • At the roundabout (1.6 km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, and drive through the next tunnel for 1.8 km.
  • Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2.5 km).
  • Go straight across (2nd exit), signposted Prazeres (don't turn left into Calheta), and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2.3km.
Prazeres 5
  • When reaching the next roundabout, where you will find a BP Petrol Station, take the second turnoff indicated "Prazeres" and "Mercado Agricultores".

    Prazeres Adagio

  • Take this wide road until you reach a few hundred metres away a right turn indicating "Prazeres"

  • Turn right here and you will reach a T-junction. Turn right again.
  • Carry on for 500 metres and you will come to Prazeres centre. As you approach this, you will find on the right a triangle with mature trees and on the left the Restaurant O Parque. Turn right before this triangle.

  • Carry on down this road for 1,3 Km and turn left into Caminho do Jardim Pelado.

  • Follow this road for 400 metres and turn again left onto Caminho da Cruz. Villa Adagio is no 28.
