Infinite Atlantic - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport, take the motorway (Via Rápida) West in the direction of Funchal and after this to Ribeira Brava. Travel for 34. Km.


Airport Ribeira Brava

  • When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 35 minutes), keep on the right-hand lane and follow the signs to Ribeira Brava - Ponta do Sol.
  • The slip road will lead you to a roundabout. Take the first exit to Ribeira Brava and drive towards the sea for 1.4 km. You will reach another roundabout. Take the 1st exit into the tunnel, and you will now carry on for 3.9 km until you reach the roundabout of Ponta do Sol.

Prazeres 1

  • At the end of the tunnel, you will reach another roundabout; take the 2nd exit, signposted Ponta do Sol, and drive through another tunnel. At the end, continue along the coastal road, and you will enter another tunnel. At the end, continue along the coastal road, and you will enter another tunnel.

  • At the end of this tunnel, you will come to the roundabout of Ponta do Sol; on the left, you will find a petrol station and a mini market. Take the 2nd exit into the next tunnel and drive for 2,8Km.

  • At the end of the tunnel, at the roundabout, turn sharply right into the next tunnel (signposted Calheta).
  • At the roundabout (1.6 km), take the first turn-off, signposted to Calheta, and drive through the next tunnel for 1.8 km.
  • Reaching the next roundabout, take the second exit following signs to Calheta and through another tunnel until you reach the Calheta roundabout (2.5 km).
  • Go straight across (2nd exit), signposted Prazeres (don't turn left into Calheta), and enter a further tunnel, driving for 2.3km.
  • On the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted "Porto Moniz"/"Ponta do Pargo"/"Prazeres".

  • When you reach the next roundabout, where you will see a BP petrol station, take the first exit, signposted "Posto de Abastecimento", "Área de Serviço", and "Restaurante Solar dos Prazeres O Paraquedista."

  • Continue along this road until you reach a T‑junction. Turn right onto Caminho Fundo and follow the road until you reach another T‑junction.

  • Turn left onto Rua da Carreira and continue driving until you reach another T‑junction. Here, turn right onto Caminho da Referta and follow the road until you arrive at a small cross. At this point, turn right onto Caminho Serrado das Lilas.

  • Continue along this road until you reach number 24. InfiniteAtlantic will be on your right‑hand side.
