BeachFront - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport, take the motorway (Via Rápida) in the direction of Funchal and after this, signs to Ribeira Brava.

  • When you reach the end of the motorway (approximately 25 minutes), follow the signs to Ribeira Brava - Ponta do Sol.

  • The slip road ends on a roundabout - take the 1st exit and you will be descending in the direction of the sea.

  • At the next roundabout, take the right turn into the tunnel, signposted Ponta do Sol.

PDS 1
  • At the end of the tunnel, you will find another roundabout, take the 2nd exit signposted to Ponta do Sol

    PDS 2
  • You will enter another tunnel. At the end, you will reach the main Ponta do Sol roundabout.
  • At the roundabout, take the second exit, following the signs for VE3 Tunnel / Madalena do Mar, and enter the tunnel.
  • Continue through the VE3 tunnel and follow the road as it descends towards Madalena do Mar. 
  • When exiting the tunnel, on the rounadbout, take the 2nd exit towards Madalena do Mar and follow signs for Avenida 1º de Fevereiro, and continue until number 122 A, on your right-hand side.
