Villa Luzia - Check-in and Driving Instructions

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

• Leaving the airport, take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).

• Take exit number 12 marked "Funchal Campo da Barca".

• This exit takes you into a loop passing under the road and to a T-junction with a set of traffic lights.

• Turn left at the traffic lights indicated "Funchal C.o da Barca" and "Funchal Pena," and after just a few meters, turn right to "Funchal Pena" and descend a winding road.

• At the first crossroads, approximately a further 250 metres, turn right into Rua da Levada de Santa Luzia.

• At the first crossroads, approximately a further 250 metres, turn right into Rua da Levada de Santa Luzia

• Drive along this street for approximately 500 metres, past a turnoff on your right and, further on, a turnoff on your left, until you reach the first crossroads. At the crossroads, you turn left down the hill.

•  Descend past a tall, dark yellow wall with a burgundy border.

• Shortly after the end of this wall, you will come to a cream wall with green shutters, a little before the next crossroads.

  

• On the right, you will find a green iron gate with a plaque identifying it as No. 109A - Villa Luzia.

  Pull over to your right and ring the bell so we can open the gate for you to drive in.
