Quinta D'Alegria - Check-in and Driving Instructions
Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.
If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:
- Leaving the airport, take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
- Take exit number 12 marked "Funchal Campo da Barca".
- This exit takes you into a loop passing under the road and to a T-junction with a set of traffic lights.
- Turn left at the traffic lights, keeping to your right, and after just a few meters, turn right to "Funchal Pena"
- Instead of following the road down turn IMMEDIATELY LEFT and head up the hill (see blue sign for Estalagem do Monte)
- Head up this steep winding road, passing the turning for
Livramento until you come to a T junction where you should turn
left, where it says "hospital" or "Monte"
- And then after 20 metres, you will see "Rustico", a restaurant.
Turn left here onto the Caminho de Monte (toboggan run) until you
find number 88 on your left.
