Casa Petronella - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
  • Leave the Via Rápida at exit number 9 to Camo do Pilar/P. de Barcelos

  •  At the end of the slip road, turn left down the hill.

  • After 100m, you will come to a crossroad, turn right.

  • The road dips, and before it bears to the left, you will see a small road on your right (200m). Turn into it: Rampa Dr. Barreto.

  • A few metres ahead, take the turning on your left through an entrance with stone posts

  • Ahead of you is a palm tree island in the middle of the road. Go around to the right and ahead (at an angle), and you will see the iron gates to Casa Petronella, identified as Lote A 29A.

  • Drive in and park the car.
