Águia - Check-in and Driving Instructions

Please print these driving instructions and have them with you when you arrive in Madeira.

If you have a car and are driving to your villa or apartment, please follow these instructions. Using GPS will take you via old and less easy roads and unusual locations:

  • Leaving the airport, take the dual carriageway in the direction of Funchal (road known as the Via Rápida).
  • Leave the via rapida at exit 12, signposted Funchal/Campo da Barca

Aguia 1

  • This exit takes you into a loop passing under the motorway and to a T-Junction with a set of traffic lights.
  • Turn left at the traffic lights and keep to the left.
  • At the next set of traffic lights, enter the tunnel and drive down towards town.
  • Go across the next 2 sets of traffic lights, then move to the right-hand lane and stay in that lane.

  • On the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua 31 de Janeiro and drive for approximately 200meters.
  • Turn left onto Rua do Carmo and keep driving until you find number 31A.

  • We'll be waiting to check you in and welcome you. We'll also give you instructions on parking your car.
